rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

yup ... picking up bits of scrap metal which i can then sell on for cash ..... got lucky and found a dumped hot-water cylinder

it gave me enough funds to double up my dow long from small to modest at 17519 (avr 17505)

that wasn't very kind while i popped out to do a bit of shopping!

More like you do more "popping in" to do some work if today is anything to go by -):

hasn't modern technology caught up with you yet?
laptops (tablets and the like are too small for my liking) and mobile phones make life much easier

What an encore to end the week.

dow dropped another bundle at last knockings to finish at 17280 (-315), with a bit of further weakness after hours

cash ftse showing -65, so it's effectively guaranteed that monday will be vile as well

absolutely fantastic - this drop exceeded my expectations but not my hope - i am very happy - hope everyone else doing well

if you were lucky or prescient or whatever, you might have left a limit running as you could then have bought back (dow) as low as 17221

anyway, well done
