I leave you lot for a few hours and you've upset lambykins! Lambykins is my friend, please be nice to him!

(I'll have a glass of wine while you compose your apologies and say something nice to him, please!)

Priscilla - 25 Oct 2004 22:56 - 16920 of 23498

SC - fancy you mentioning bubbly at the same time as I posted.....yes, please!!

STORMCALLER - 25 Oct 2004 22:58 - 16921 of 23498

Priscilla,
Of course, right away, and most welcome, I always think the only thing that can improve good bubbly is to share....enjoy!

Priscilla - 25 Oct 2004 23:03 - 16922 of 23498

Let's put some in this nice small glass dish and see if we can't coax lambykins to join us.......

You like champagne and Mr Stormcaller wouldn't say anything nasty to you. Come and sit by the fire with us.......

chocolat - 25 Oct 2004 23:05 - 16923 of 23498

Mmmm....roast lamb.

STORMCALLER - 25 Oct 2004 23:08 - 16924 of 23498

It is true that I would never harm anyone or anything, least of all a fan of champagne.
chocolat,
Could I tempt you with this peculiarly satisfying vintage? and please put that carving knife down!

Priscilla - 25 Oct 2004 23:10 - 16925 of 23498

I'll leave you to it.....sleep well everybody.

STORMCALLER - 25 Oct 2004 23:12 - 16926 of 23498

Goodnight Priscilla

Golddog - 25 Oct 2004 23:27 - 16927 of 23498

Night Priscilla, sweet dreams.

Choc, I just went into the broom cupboard to get the broom, so don't get your knickers in a twist over it!

Spaceman, Some of us here at the Cafe are also animals, i'm a dog and we have a Bunny, so we would love Lambykins to join us. And if i ever offended with such words as 'lamb stew' or 'bbq lamb special', please forgive me. When Bunny first came here she to was joked about and many a time found it bother to keep climbing out the boiling pot! So you see the lamb needs to wipe away the tears and come sit with the girls and enjoy some tequila. and you my friend may have the gold slippers.

night night.

STORMCALLER - 25 Oct 2004 23:30 - 16928 of 23498

Goodnight GD

Spaceman - 25 Oct 2004 23:54 - 16929 of 23498

Well just back from comforting lamby and I think I have convinced him that no-one meant him any harm. he said he would like come back here every now and then.

And with that its time for me bed.

See you all later.

PS GD thanks for the gold slippers I will wear them with pride, I like that little ad for the cafe on the front of them.

STORMCALLER - 26 Oct 2004 00:26 - 16930 of 23498

Had to stay and finish the bottle, couldn't bear to waste it.
Gotta blow,
Goodnight all

Barkeep, a bottle of Mumm Napa, if you please -- failing that, I'll slum it with Roederer Cristal. And charge the glasses of all present . . .

jeffmack - 26 Oct 2004 09:40 - 16932 of 23498

Just kicked out the straglers from last night. Welcome to the day crew

optomistic - 26 Oct 2004 09:48 - 16933 of 23498

Morning Jeff, no one else up yet.

This_is_me - 26 Oct 2004 10:45 - 16934 of 23498

Yes I was getting fed up with there only being rabbit on the menu so I'll put my order in early for roast lamb with mint sauce for lunch.
Could I have mine well done please - there is enough red on my monitor.

hilary - 26 Oct 2004 11:15 - 16935 of 23498

Had a result this morning over the wellies.

When I ordered them they quoted 3 or 4 days delivery. They then e-mailed to say there was a backlog and it would be around 15 days. I rang them up and gave them some stick and they've now offered me a complimentary pair foc.

Oh, happy days.

Jules - 26 Oct 2004 11:20 - 16936 of 23498

hilary, it must have been a pretty heavy stick for you to get the free ones.....How many clampers did you offer to send round to sort them out?:-))

hilary - 26 Oct 2004 11:23 - 16937 of 23498

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, Mejulie.

:o)

PS. I'm only just getting to grips with "Chav". What are clampers?

optomistic - 26 Oct 2004 11:31 - 16938 of 23498

Hilary, I bought some Solero Ice Lollies from Morrisons yesterday when I arrived home ten minutes later the contents of one of the boxes was in liquid state. I rang the store to let them know that they could have a problem with their freezer. They thanked me and said if I returned the product they would refund or replace. I wonder how many complimentary boxes you would have been awarded :-) In any event I don't think Morrisons was being too generous, do you?
