THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

let me ask the trio a couple of questions .

mnamreh - 08 Jun 2012 15:03 - 16941 of 81564

.

TANKER - 08 Jun 2012 15:05 - 16942 of 81564

first question do you think it is honest for you to be liars .

Haystack - 08 Jun 2012 15:07 - 16943 of 81564

It is not an enquiry about Blair etc. It is just a press ethics enquiry.

TANKER - 08 Jun 2012 15:21 - 16944 of 81564

the leveson inquiry is to stop the press from reporting facts .
the MPs want revenge over the reporting of there thefts of tax payers money .
and it is still going on .there are stealing our money by any means that looks ok.
the press MUST be allowed to print the facts .with out them we would not have found out about the failures of people in power, or murderers

TANKER - 08 Jun 2012 15:24 - 16945 of 81564

there are more crooks in power than there are in prison

greekman - 08 Jun 2012 15:34 - 16946 of 81564

Anyone but me find an ethics inquiry that was called by the government is a bit like the pot calling for an inquire into the kettle.

greekman - 08 Jun 2012 15:41 - 16947 of 81564

There is a petition doing the rounds to stop the UK giving any further loans to Argentina, (yes, believe it or not we still are).
To sign this petition go to http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/34551

mna what it as done is put millions off voting I am looking to join them .
why waste my time voting for thiefs and liars .

Stan - 08 Jun 2012 16:32 - 16950 of 81564

"why waste my time voting for thief's and liars" Agreed, so why don't you stop voting for them and vote for the people who are not thief's and liars? Giving up voting is just letting them get away with it.

doodlebug - 08 Jun 2012 17:38 - 16951 of 81564

Totally agree Tanker. At the end of this whitewash the public should know exactly how much tax payers money has been spent on this utter farce. How much longer is this going to go on? Everyone and his dog is being called to give evidence and when you get an utter jerk like Piers Morgan in the witness box preening himself you do despair.

Fred1new - 08 Jun 2012 18:07 - 16952 of 81564

Because by holding the enquiry you may have a chance to expose some of the "said" political elite for the villains some of them are.

Also, at the least, the public and those "offended" by the abuse of "power" against them, have a chance to remedy the corruption that was previously carried out behind closed doors. It may prevent an even more rapid descent of public standards to that of a banana republic.

I am fed up with the statements "that was yesterday" and "just put it behind you". Previous governments have had their periods of corruption, but none like the stench arising around the present one.

I hope that as a result of exposures at the Leveson enquiry, that there will be more civil actions and criminal prosecutions against the perpetrators of the abuses.

Probably, it will lead to the end of the Murdoch media empire.

I don't think that many members of the present government are "fit" to hold public office.

He said to me . ... . I don't know why you wear a bra; you've got nothing to put in it
I said to him .... . . You wear pants don't you?

He said to me ... . ......... Shall we try swapping positions tonight?
I said to him .. That's a good idea - you stand by the stove & sink while I sit on the sofa and do nothing but fart

He said to me. ... What have you been doing with all the grocery money I gave you?
I said to him . ..... Turn sideways and look in the mirror!

He said to me. ..... Why don't women blink during foreplay?
I said to him ... . They don't have time.

He said to me. . How many men does it take to change a roll of toilet paper?
I said to him .. .. I don't know; it has never happened.

He said to me. . Why is it difficult to find men who are sensitive, caring and Good- looking?
I said to him . . . They already have boyfriends.

He said to me...What do you call a woman who knows where her husband is every night?
I said to him. . .. A widow.

He said to me.... Why are married women heavier than single women?
I said to him .. . .. Single women come home, see what's in the fridge and go to bed….Married women come home, see what's in bed and go to the fridge.

aldwickk - 08 Jun 2012 20:32 - 16954 of 81564

Stan

Fred doesn't vote , i should have a word with him.

Who will you be voting for ? Labour again

Fred1new - 08 Jun 2012 21:40 - 16955 of 81564

Next national election, I can't see many voting Tory, Lib/Dem, or perhaps what could be your favourite party, the BNP.

tyketto - 09 Jun 2012 00:30 - 16956 of 81564

Greek
Mixed metaphor.
Dig yourself into a hole.
Paint yourself into a corner.

aldwickk - 09 Jun 2012 11:30 - 16957 of 81564

I will be voting Tory , because i don't want Labour or a Lab/Lib or a Con/Lib in power.

What i would like would be a Con/UKIP goverment. The tory's always get in were i live.

Fred1new - 09 Jun 2012 11:39 - 16958 of 81564
