Desire Petroleum are drilling in Falklands (DES)

free hit countersDesire Petroleum

<>Desire Petroleum plc (Desire) is a UK company listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) dedicated to exploring for oil and gas in the North Falkland Basin.

Desire has recently completed a 6 well exploration programme. The Liz well encountered dry gas and gas condensate at 2 separate levels while other wells recorded shows.
Together with the Rockhopper Exploration Sea Lion oil discovery in the licence to the north, these wells have provided significant encouragement for the potential of the North Falkland Basin. The oil at Sea Lion is of particular interest as this has demonstrated that oil is trapped in potentially significant quantities in a fan sandstone on the east flank of the basin. It is believed that over 50% of this east flank play fairway is on Desire operated acreage.

Desire has now completed new 3D seismic acquisition which provides coverage over the east flank play, Ann, Pam and Helen prospects. The results from fast-track processing of priority areas are provided in the 2011 CPR. A farm-out to Rockhopper has been announced. The revised equities are shown on the licence map (subject to regulatory approval and completion of the farm-in well).

Hi Marky, Thanks for that.

Had to take the wife away for a treat..cost me a few bob, but got lucky being long of the Nikkei for a week and closed that off.

Also been taking care of business on some threads. You may have noticed.

Someone's being abusive to JP and I'm not too keen on that sort of thing.

All threads now tainted with excessive posts on the subject but I am going for the filter choice so I don't have to read the crap.

I see that Chelsea won 4-0 tonite. Believe a poster lost some money....shame.

Hopefully the message will get through and this thread will return to some sanity and friendliness.

Regards FOG

Hi all

DES managed to close up a little higher today. The volume was very low, this created a doji candle. The fact that DES had a gap, but failed to close higher, means the pattern forming could be a doji star. This pattern normaly appears at the top of an up trend. However DES has only moved up slightly over the past couple of days. I don't think the up trend is established enough to be significant. The Britishbulls.com have DES on a sell if. Confirmation of the pattern will be if DES closes bellow todays close. The three month up trend is still intact, as are the moving averages. The 200 day moving average is currently at 0.4637p, which is still moveing up. I have posted a slightly different chart showing Zig lables, these show the peak & trough prices of the major moves and corrections. This shows the support & resistance prices.

eddieshare - 26 Aug 2005 19:04 - 1716 of 6492

Hi all

Thanks to all for the input about the Zig labels.

Lynnzal would you mind updating the board for the next couple of weeks. I can update Monday and Tuesday if you like. I will be on holiday from the 31/08/05 - 15/09/05.

Des made a small gain today, volume was low. DES is still moving up along the rising support line. The 200 day moving average has droped slightly today. The bulls will need to come in with support to keep the average moving up. DES moved up over the 10 day moving average again. If we get a continuation up, We can regard yesterdays gap up as support. The support is at 0.4025p at the moment. The size of the candles are reduced in size and with the doji yesterday, this indicates indecision. This may be because the oil sector has been moving down for the past few days. DES is getting closer to the resistance area, a decision should be made soon, which way the market intends to take DES. The three month up trend being still intact, I think the market will continue in this direction. However the resistance area of 0.4800p (as per Lynnzal) may take a little while to clear. Next week (01/09/05) DES has its interim anouncements, the market may be waiting for this to decide.

Here is the weekly chart, candles have 1 weeks value. You can see we have a doji, which shows indecision.
