Thank you driver, i did know the full answer but was offering that as a clue to those that wished to keep trying.
Would it be safe to assume that the 2 500k trades @ 15 were buys? assuming that these were ordinary trades as stated it would be hard to see anyone giving that as a sell price given todays movement. Maybe the house broker selling some of the placement at a profit? Institutional buyer?

all buyers coming in late afternoon. buys outweigh sells. bit of a pattern emerging as this has happened a few times. are people day trading seo, selling in the morning if it rises and buying back late afternoon when it has dropped? difficult to say what the 2x500k@15p were, planttec. if it is part of the placing then its a fair old profit. but it makes no sense to sell when a price busting rns could be just round the corner.
good qoute driver. i didnt get it 'til plantec gave a slight clue. good film.

A gain's not a profit till it's taken, bosley, and all that, but yes I am having fun thank you - beginner's luck.
Being the puppy I am, I just saw the pond and jumped in and am having a jolly good splash about in 27 stocks as I count - lots of oils, anything bio, gold (it's day will come again!) financials, mining, medical (come on Deltex!) and of course ASC. Pastures new beckoned recently with an Oz pharma and Russian property. Plus some good old core investment trust, a house builder and a food manufacturer (I used to think Sudan 1 was a football score!) Got to be right with one of them!
Apart from DMYOR and taking a few tip sheets to get me started with ideas, I've also benefited enormously from the camaraderie of the MAM boards. So, thanks to everyone for making me wealthier than I was before I met you. I hope I can return the favour, although many of you may have missed the initial opportunity of DOO which I think I first pointed out some weeks ago - now stratospheric heading for n-bagger status. Better luck with PSG and PGI.

wrt to cool hand luke.....back in 1978 (i think ) it was on tv. a great talking point , the 50 boiled eggs. a clerical assistant said he could eat 50 cadbury cream eggs. what a lunchtime THAT WAS. he ate 23 before nature took its course. i can see his face but cant recall the name. however, MUCH RESPECT ( i cant eat two without feeling sick ).

Enjoyable read today. Not a lot of action - I expect the city guys from Sunnigndale didn't like the snow. I remember the day they all stayed at home during the 1987 storm and the market went through the floor. At least today was just a gentle slide, and even SEO joined in, wanting to be matey, even though buys outweighed sells - 1.5 million in the last few mintes including those query ones - definitely buys in my book. Not sure it will move much this week as people aren't expecting much from the prelims, waiting rather for ASOS. Better than waiting for Godot; he never came, not even in two months - I think it ran for much longer than that. Still feeling contented although I kept off the Rioja tonight; if I hadn't broken the trend, the case would have gone in 12 nights! Happy with 16p tomorrow; need to keep the powder dry.
