Sefton Resources - a SCREAMING BUY at this price - small-cap oil producer (SER)

mjr1234 - 10 Nov 2005 12:44

This stock looks like the most undervalued oil company on the stock exchange. >
Sefton Resources epic SER. It is currently trading at a price of 0.275p valueing the whole company at just 4M.

You might look at the market cap and assume that this company is just an explorer or a shell, but in fact Sefton is producing over 6000 barrels of oil per month with a monthly revenue of over $300k. It's recent work on it's Tapia oilfield exceeded expectations, meaning the company hit it's 200BOPD target 5 months early, and is now expecting resource and production estimates to be further upgraded. This is before it embarks on a steam-assisted programme early next year which
could see production rates multiplied 2-4 times! It is also looking at drilling further wells on the rich Tapia field in the light of the better than expected results.

So why is it only valued at 4M? The primary reason is lack of awareness of the stock, the sub-1p price puts many people off straight away, and a large overhang.

A year or so ago the company was put in financial dire straits by a
well blowout and had to undertake large discounted placings to get
itself back on track, which it has done with a vengeance. However,
some of these placing shares, which represent some 25% of the company
are being sold into the market, depressing the price so that despite the fact that the companies prospects have improved dramatically over
the past year, the price has dropped by nearly 60%.

This makes the company an absolute bargain at these rock-bottom prices. In 6 months time I expect this to be worth 3-5 times the current price. SERIOUSLY.

There is plenty of research to get your teeth into, the best place to start is the website :

www.seftonresources.com

There are 2 excellent articles on Sefton on the following website by Ian Mclelland (Jan/Feb 2006) - well worth a read to get up to speed on this company and it's prospects:

We all have to 'nip to the loo' sometime - blame it on a takeaway, usually works...

Trouble is, this current 'run' (no pun intended) appears to be lasting longer than the story can hold...

lol

LOL! I'll have to try that one. Missed that last 0.26p unfortunately, now MM's playing a different ball game raising the bid?

MJ

Yeah, noticed it too... Starting to look better... Already in the money...

BTW - If it did carry on into next week, aside from setting a new world record in 'toilet breaks', their may be promotion on the table for the most dedicated member of staff... 'The one who stuck with it', even when things 'hit the fan'...

All,

Well that's quite some day today, talk about a white knuckle ride!

I'll certainly maintain my interest here, certainly not a dull and boring share!

i also think this is going to 1p short term ,what is strange why people selling at these lows ;lots of chunky 500k some 1m and aboVe . reading company reports and product figures seems good , like things are geting much better ,then what are the sellers seeing .my thought is maybe shareplaceing could come ,but eVen then it would be for product of more oil share Value grows . strange?.

bought into this co january 04 at .39p that was the placeing price, bought more at .44 thouht they were up and runing so jump in at .60 ,each time spent 2k you could haVe 10mil shares then on order, glad i didnt get to carried away ,coming back for 2mil more at these lows . this could jump 100% in one day if it turns on good oil Volume ,there a lot of small oils 5-10 times there price with no oil yet. last year they had realy bad rains that washed them out its coming to that time may slow them down again. who would sell now if they bought at placeing price of 04 look at the lose .

Hi All,

If this current pattern runs into next week, I'd have thought it would be the last...

A case of 'fill your boots up'... fast!

Great multibagger potential - esp. at current prices...

I think last year's heavy spring rain in California was a very unusual event for that part of the USA. As we know California is not really known for being a wet state, quite the opposite! I'd be surprised if it happens again this spring coming.

I also have a feeling that the "bottom" is very near, or perhaps already happened last week at .25p, but it all depends on the actions of the seller. I've just got an idea they wouldn't be running it down to this level if they knew the seller had a load more to offload at this point. After all they are definitely losing on their initial investment now. More like they are reaching the end of their sell-off, and the MMs know they will accept lower prices and a loss to get rid of their last bit. It's likely they made a profit on their earlier sells, say at 0.3p+ so their average might still be a break-even position. We think they may have 150M or so left but that doesn't necessarily mean they are planning to offload all their remaining shares. Jeremy Delmar-Morgan is apparently trying to find out the exact figure with a view to making a deal. Will be interesting to see what transpires.

Looking forward to next week and the weeks ahead in this interesting share!

got in at .25 for 2mil through a phone call to Lloyds hoping thats the low but can see this going to .2 , may haVe some more if it falls for day trade, oil price on the way up can only help bring in more cash . these are all time lows on best production eVer , It cannot last i keep telling my self .

explosive - 14 Nov 2005 21:14 - 32 of 1047

I think that the current low price has more to do with 0.06c sales to share ratio than anything else. I'd like to see a buy back with profits made to increase this figure and add value to shareholders.

mjr1234 - 14 Nov 2005 22:57 - 33 of 1047

0.06c sales to share ratio?

Surely at least 0.24c?

explosive - 14 Nov 2005 23:06 - 34 of 1047

mj - maybe at today figures but on last released fundamentals its 0.06 mate... Next year accounts should look better....

mjr1234 - 14 Nov 2005 23:30 - 35 of 1047

Yes I used current figures. I think next accounts will show a huge improvement on the last ones.

I would add to your wish list, that I would like to see Director purchases. I know most of them have a fair sized chunk, but it would reinforce the value here.

explosive - 14 Nov 2005 23:53 - 36 of 1047

MJ - it sure would, might help the city see this isn't a family run show!!
