Just got in.....right, time to make some fresh tea and turn on the oven to warm through a few teacakes for the Lurkers Tea Time. Oooh, I think there's a coffee and walnut cake in the tin....and a post it note, saying.....'Please eat me!' It would be unkind not to, I think.
Must save a slice for lambykins.....

You guys seen the 'Meet the CEO' thread nailed to the top of the BB list by Bullshare? I wonder if I can nominate the Founder and CEO of Poochy's Tea Rooms? Then we can find ask him the truth about the cellar, the plans to get a cleaner, what really happened to Spaceman's slippers and the ingredients of Socs' trifle etc. Much more interesting than some 'suit' ...... any thoughts? Almost time for the Annual Pooch's Awards anyway, isn't it?

To all them mums & dads out there whats in yours,,i am talking about the shoe box appeal, that all the schools run this time of year . In ours are,,pens, balls small, cars, dolls, crayons, pencil cases, sweets, hair brush, comb, books, stencil set, soft toys,,etc,,oh well back back to the wrapping.

DD, as one of the founding members of the King Herod Forever! campaign, you'll have to excuse my bewilderment as to your post 17023. Why would anybody collect stuff in a shoe box? Who is it given to or are they left out at night as a trap to entice unsuspecting children into your garden before turning the pressure-washer on them?

Priscilla,
I think it's a Scouse thing. I've never heard of the shoe box appeal either.
