THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Just to start the day on a bright note - Summer storm: Further rain due amid flooding fears

There are warnings of possible flooding in southern England and Wales with heavy rain forecast to continue.

The Environment Agency has issued flood alerts in 51 areas - 42 in south-east England. A number of roads are closed.

Seven flood warnings are in place; six for the South East, including parts of the River Mole on the Surrey/Sussex border, and one in the Anglia region.

The Met Office is warning of heavy rain in parts of Wales and the south-west, east and south-east of England.

Enjoy your day! rain.gif

SEC needs to recover its credibility and go after JPM management.

Read the following:

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/analysis-sec-could-pursue-case-051811135.html

Several legal experts say that the failure of JPMorgan to disclose changes to its value-at-risk modeling could actually present a prime opportunity to do just that.

Tanker,

Sometimes the questioning at Leveson does appear a little light, but it does give a chance to watch the "ruling" classes trying to wash their linen in public and observe how they manipulate the public and exposes their abuse of the public office.

Sometimes, much of the evidence reminds me of Tracy Emin's bed.

Also, shows the gross abuse of the public by a small number of paper owners and their ilk and points to who is financing and pulling the strings of the present government.

Should the Camerons be on the Pickle's problem family list and have a social worker have a report on their child management?

Perhaps, be they could be told to do a proper job!

London 2012: Olympics opening ceremony details revealed

The Olympic Stadium "will be transformed into the British countryside" for the opening ceremony of the Games on 27 July.

A cast of 10,000 volunteers will help recreate country scenes, against a backdrop featuring farmyard animals and landmarks like Glastonbury Tor.

Hope they include wind farms placed over the most beautiful landscapes, along with Gypsy camps set up on village greens and play areas.
I think they should also have authentic British events.

A competition to see which group of Gypsys can pinch lead of a mock church roof the quickest.
Or a race between illegal immigrants running off from a foreign lorry, first to reach the benefits office wins.
An endurance event, of who can stand in a Heathrow entry control the longest.

Any more suggestions, welcome!

The official Olympic logo should be, 'Welcome to the UK, as long as you won't work and promise to sponge off your new country.

Fred

"the ruling" classes" lol

Your the Dennis Skinner of moneyam still fighting the class war , all cheap comment's and no idea's, just living in the past when toff's wore top hat's and the working class cloth cap's.

The son's of the working classes from the east end are the market traders who are earning million's of pounds in bonuses.

Haystack - 12 Jun 2012 12:31 - 17022 of 81564

If Dennis Skinner is known as 'the Beast of Bolsover' then what is Fred?

TANKER - 12 Jun 2012 12:41 - 17025 of 81564

cameron should if that what he believes close the churches and burn the bibles .
he as now made marriages worthless . I hope my grand children to not get married because I would not go

doodlebug - 12 Jun 2012 13:04 - 17026 of 81564

greekman, another suggeston would be a competition for children who can scream loudest in a supermarket and which supermarket has the longest queues at the checkout. I presume the opening ceremony - costing £27million - is to be funded from speeding fines, which must be a huge source of revenue for this government.

TANKER - 12 Jun 2012 13:24 - 17027 of 81564
