Not sure how a fall can be 'fantastic'. I suppose it is if you are a shorter, or short-sighted. Buys outweighed falls by more than 2 to 1 today yet the price falls 8%. Lots of buying and no movement, then a smaller number of sales and down goes the price. Hopefully a bounce back tomorrow.
Nice pic, oblo. What that he's flipping - looks like an olive or evil O in reverse!

He's 'yo-yoing' Eric (like the SP?) - thats the point of the pic! Its a yo-yo.

Thanks, oblo - its awful when you have to explain your jokes, particularly to stupid old f***s. Never had a yo yo like that when I was young, which I can just about remember. Mind, the people who benefit from yo-yo'ing share prices are the MMs; can't think there is enough movement for the trader. In my next incarnation, I think I'll become an MM.

Nah, better to reincarnate as a CFD provider or a placement broker, Eric - % for placing, % for buying and % for when one of their TA'd tips goes belly up and hits that tight stop-loss - they win WHATEVER happens to the rest of us - up, down or sideways - brokers/desk salesmen don't give a ****** t*$$ as long as they make their "cut"!
Sorry, just had to get this off my chest, long overdue pent-up frustration! :o(

Sorry Eric, I'm a stupid old f*** myself - which is why it it was a such weak joke (not unlike the SP at the moment)!
My yo-yo was made of stone or bronze, I think - cant really remember.

Whats the logic behind a share going down 5+% on a day with no adverse news and where there have been more buys than sells?
Is someone having a joke ?

Just read the Shares Magazine most weeks, that question is usually sent and answered repeatedly in the Letters Section.

Someone commented that buys have been greater than sells for a few days and yet each day the sp has reacted negatively.
In any event, if the sp had reacted positively, it would simply tread water untill meaningful news released.
At this point, there's no use pumping the price up as witth no news any rise would be short-lived.
4 more weeks in which SEO must confirm their first commercial GS installation , or else another misjudgement of timescale.

I'm quite happy to buy more shares at 5p or less.
I'm quite happy to hold at 5p or over for a good few years.
It's only money..

7-12p trading zone is what I indicated when it last spiked. Those who thought I was mad selling near 10p, like our regular Russian, might want to reconsider.
Still no GS orders and non coming soon.
Only the results to come with a 4+ million loss.
90 mil cap way way too high. The market punishes non delivery, it's GS orders they want to see, the 200 asda conversions promised 12 months ago and not even 1 done yet. Deals were signed for the radio frequency sealing technology in July 2005, but Stanelco admits it has still not made its first delivery.
Lucky for you they have biotec. Good luck, you'll all need it in the next week.
I'll buy back but not with this risk profile in volatile markets.

Page 10 of Shares Magazine 1/6/06 makes good reading. Article confirms a trial with a hamburger company for its new wrapping. Company has refused to name which hamburger company but Persico is also mentioned in the article. Let's hope this is the end of the news famine and perhaps a better sp from now on?
