SUPERSCAPE - TECHNOLOGY FOR THE FUTURE. (SPS)

Happy1 - 03 Mar 2004 22:47

Superscape was founded nearly twenty years ago, and has been dedicated throughout its history to the development of ground-breaking software technology for the creation and delivery of innovative, high quality interactive 3D applications.
Over the years, Superscape has amassed unparalleled expertise and experience in the development of 3D software capable of working within the constraints of limited memory devices, slow processor speeds and strictly controlled file sizes.

Drawing on this knowledge, Superscape has established a world-leading position in the development of industry-standard 3D technology and applications for mobile devices. The company's Swerve technology has been developed specifically for wireless environments in close collaboration with ARM, and comprises a 3D engine (Swerve Client), authoring tools (Swerve Studio) and a broad portfolio of 3D content, with particular emphasis on 3D games. Swerve is being adopted on a global basis by many of the mobile industry's leading players, together with world-renowned content and brand organisations.

Superscape has corporate headquarters in Hook, Hampshire (UK) and San Clemente, California (USA) with regional offices in Tokyo and Sydney. The company is quoted on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: SPS).

Superscape (SPS) has received various tips in the press and by Analysts recently which will certainly give impetous to the share price. Indicators are looking good with the RSI rising off an oversold position and the MACD crossing showing BULLISH signs for the stock.

The mobile gaming market is still in it's infancy but the projected revenue is enormous. Mobile operators are looking at tapping the Gameboy market as they feel that users will not want to carry around a multitude of technology and if they have a mobile phone which can double as a gaming station than people will prefer this option.

People should also look at the recent contracts which SPS have signed for their technology. This is a technology company which could well be a great success in 2004.

SUPERSCAPE ANNOUNCES 8TH TARGETED NETWORK OPERATOR CONTRACT:

GROWING LIST OF WINS INCLUDES MAJORITY OF TOP TIER OPERATORS

Superscape Group plc (LSE: SPS), leaders in revolutionary entertainment for
mobile phones, announces win number eight on its targeted top fifteen list of
network operators. As a result of both direct and indirect agreements with
operators, Superscape's games are now becoming available to consumers on the
following networks: Verizon, Vodafone, Cingular, AT&T, Nextel, TMobile, China
Mobile, 02 as well as some sixty regional operators around the globe.

Kevin Roberts, CEO, Superscape Group plc said: 'This latest contract means
that Superscape has now won 70% of its top ten targeted operators and over 50%
of its top fifteen targeted operators. Moving forward, our focus is now on
signing distribution agreements with the remaining operators on our targeted
list and making our portfolio of high-profile games - including such titles as
Evel Knievel, Alien versus Predator , Van Helsing , AMF Bowling and Street Hoops
- available to an ever-greater number of consumers worldwide.'

Superscape is continuing to expand its games portfolio and negotiations are well
advanced with a number of leading entertainment organisations who are keen to
extend the reach of their brands via the rapidly growing market for mobile
games. Recent reports forecast that the revenue from mobile gaming will reach
$8 billion by 2007.

Roberts continued: 'Our games are increasingly being recognised as 'best of
breed' in the mobile industry, as evidenced both by the number of top tier
operators with whom we have signed distribution agreements and the volume of
consumer downloads for our games. I am very encouraged by our progress to date.

Comment: a lot of buying today and last Friday which is not particularly good as the news had obviously been leaked from SPS. However, the list of of agreements is impressive as are the compatible handsets, there is a posting on ample with all details. ADVFN also states that the company is in a close period at the moment but highlights the paragraph above pointing to the volume of consumer downloads which gives a broad hint at good progress. At the end of the day, consumers are now buying superscapes products, miracle really isn't it! It is now just going to be a guessing game of how big this industry really is, with decent press, 3d games on mobiles could be the craze for xmas as it has the mass market appeal and the operators will be pushing the products like fury as they are revenue generating!

This morning Superscape have announced the 9th distribution agreement with a company but why are they not saying which company? I believe this happened with the 8th agreement. Companies who have this sort of news usually say who the other party is. Is it a big company or a tiddler? Why hide it? If they stop naming then how are we supposed to know it's true?
I do have a few SPS shares but not sure whether to get more as they are missing out a few important details in announcements.

ehall - 02 Sep 2004 10:42 - 173 of 707

You know it's true because they can't lie, they're fully listed. They don't announce the name due to confidentiality agreements, common place in a cut and thrust industry like telecoms. surprised that the SP hasn't moved up though, time to stock up as nine out of the top 15 is some performance, the market is definitely missing this one at the mo but that's not so bad if you want some more!

ehall - 03 Sep 2004 09:34 - 174 of 707

Nice to see IC give a stupid reason for holding SPS shares, apparently churlish! This is despite the fact that they have totally called the company wrong, their initial reason for not buying SPS was due to a lack of revenues when the SP was higher than it is now. Today they list all of the operators selling superscapes games and say hold because the house brokers hasn't increased its forecasts, what a load of clap trap although completely consistent for the IC. On a more positive note, the tills are now ringing for SPS and the results are not to far away, these should provide the fireworks we have been waiting for, anything above EVO's revenue estimates will be very positive. Given that MG has already stated that he is comfortable with these, I would think that they could be significantly beaten.

Shares mag says 'BUY' this week.

MightyMicro - 06 Sep 2004 00:35 - 176 of 707

If you think that games on telephones are a winner, then Superscape is well-positioned, has the technology and is a decent punt. But these things take time to develop into revenue streams, so patience is required.

DYOR and good luck!

ehall - 14 Sep 2004 18:06 - 177 of 707

Shares Mag/Money AM, are you publishing the article on your meeting with Superscape this week or next? Could you possibly post the full info on the BB where oyu are not restrained by print so that the faithfull could have a good read?

hlyeo98 - 19 Sep 2004 19:55 - 178 of 707

will see 40-45p soon

ehall - 20 Sep 2004 08:23 - 179 of 707

I agree, anything else on top of the shares write up would easily see them touching the top!

joehargan1 - 20 Sep 2004 16:15 - 180 of 707

500m buy just went through

joehargan1 - 21 Sep 2004 12:19 - 181 of 707

Turning nicely as predicted. With news in the pipeline this week, the volume has picked right up and large buys about. Time to think about seriously topping up.

ehall - 21 Sep 2004 13:47 - 182 of 707

I would certainly have thought that the Shares write up would be positive due to their continuing support for the company, at least there is one magazine out their that has some foresight.

I think that the interesting issue at the moment is the type of trades pushing through. The sells are characterised by a large quantity of small volume trades whereas we have seen in the last week an increase in the number of buys where the volume of shares purchased is much greater, typically over 100k. This indicates that smaller shareholders are selling to take profits or get out but the institutions are buying. Judge for yourself the implications of this but institutions tend to do better research and are more informed than small investors, I tend to follow them!

Kivver - 21 Sep 2004 17:59 - 183 of 707

All not known trades look like buys to me.

joehargan1 - 21 Sep 2004 20:28 - 184 of 707

we should see some more activity tomorrow - agree ehall, the big volume trades today and yesterday are all buys indicating support from the city. The MM's were also holding a lot of stock so I expect they will let this one ease up gradually with increasing demand. Another 1-2pence tomorrow I think.

ssanebs - 21 Sep 2004 23:31 - 185 of 707

evolution had a buyer of a 1m shares yesterday and the order was cleared today. shares mag write-up will be very positive.

joehargan1 - 22 Sep 2004 10:14 - 187 of 707

I'd imagine we can expect a follow-up RNS from SPS detailing the Swerve impact - this together with a positive Shares recommendation tomorrow should be great news.

Happy1 - 22 Sep 2004 22:34 - 188 of 707

All Happy ?

ehall - 23 Sep 2004 07:53 - 189 of 707

Quote "At 37.5p Superscape is valued at 46 million and still looks dirt cheap". Nice write up, didn't provide any new info really although some of the costs and revenue streams are a bit clearer, very positive, thanks Shares!

willfagg - 23 Sep 2004 11:25 - 190 of 707
