Amities/ Bonne matins . Volume down considerably today .{ Tuesday } . Not alarmingly: but considerably. lrksome trend. From 20m+ stock traded p/d following announcement of results of Asda trialing a couple of weeks ago, to no more than to 10m p/d last week ,to less than 5m traded today . ( Still perhaps perfectly accreditable to the ease of market digestion of placement coupled with the initial euphoria wearing a tad thin as always accompanies such sceanarios. .But still discerning and relavent to percentage overweight players like myself. To stalwart long term holders with positions in the 4p to 6p parameter this contribution is of very little consequence methinks; but to high volume holders like myself with 700,000 cauught in a basket price of between 7.5 and 8.75p it is a trend i will be watching carefully. Lets face it: Thus far we have had it all our own way . News has been both frequent and positive .And constant. But if , and when , volumes fall mms tend to fret and attempt to maintain volumes on the back of a more challenging spread . Personally very gauling and unneccassary for me considering i originally held 200k+ at 4.75 ; but sold on the initial breakout @ 6.75 being the % man i am . .To be perfectly bloody candid i would have been MORE than happy when i bought on the second and third occassions to have banked 17p on the entire holding and walked away . 100% profit .700,000 x 8p is not to be sneezed at. By anyone . Deal done . Left the arena..ln excess of 80% of my holdings are in oil and gas plays/ alternative energies and a small but solid bunch of mining outfits.-from diamondiferous sourcing to both ferrrous and non ferrous metals inc. gold .silver, copper zinc ,cobalt, and platinum right through to coal And to that end i recently sold 200,000 into strength in two tranches @ much that level .(17p) Retained 500,000 because as things stand- my FUNDEMENTAL opinion on the company has not changed a jot .Whilst l am not totally convinced of a new trading pattern of 17p - 14p having been consolidated let alone formed, i do not share the sentiments of Filthy Poor who seems to think SEO will retrace to the 6p level ( although that conclusion is not hard to reach when viewed from a certain economic perspective so who can blame him ? . But it dismisses to many crystal clear variables. . There is juste too much good news already in the pipeline for that to occur. But he raises one very moot point to my mind . Now although the more serious holders in this stock among you have stated with great repititon of your having equated into your respective research the fiscal implications and ramifications of this damn c/c with BPRG and are quite happy with state of play, l personally cant dismiss it as a mere irrelavence. l apologise in anticipation but for me it goes a long way to understanding the dearth of institutional players yet to enter the trials ( joust ) With such a revolutionary technology i would have expected some buyers in the multiples of millions . i derive no satisfaction from saying this ; but one cant bury ones head in the sand and pretend its not there. l suspect many of you you underestimate legal costs. l did. l am as guilty as the next man . What with High court time costed at almost 10k per hour . An army of specialist senior Q.C counsel who all demand the highest fees what with operating in such a specialist field of law; as do their instructing solicitors . A branch of the law , in which a friend of mine , called a complicated labyrinth of vagaries and contradictions . and whose constituients require wide in depth scientific knowledge of a vast array of obscure subjects .. A bit of a polymath if you like . Such services do not come cheap ( up to 3,000 per hour ) ....and lets not forget it was a bloody protracted affair . .BUT is ONLY with this in mind if ACCOMPANIED by declining volumes that concern me . Everything else reg. the company is exitiing and exhilerating . And once that c/c is finally concluded the emergence and noise of the big guns will mainifest the battlefield as if from nowhere .Of that i am convinced . But short term it is a truism that paper profits do not equate to banked money; and i suspect if low volumes continue at such a rate and with no fresh news mms will start to force the issue a little . And the tree will be shook if need be. . A few nervous holders { and i fear there are many lurking out there } will bend like a reed in a gale and do the very thing they shouldnt ,,,and sell ! . But in saying that everyone knows their financial circumstances best. And there is not a worse feeling than having bought on whim or while caught up in a frenzy bourne of bullish optimism . On a contrasting note i strongly believe long term holders are sitting pretty .Perhaps more than pretty. Traders make no secret they like and desire this stock; but have been forced to exercise patience as a result of a plethora of small astute players having got thier foot in the door before them . Now as always they exercise patience. .They want it a little cheaper .lts as simple as that for me .My ultra cautious boss whose cv includes specializing in Ofex and unquoted companies for many yers rates SEO most highly; but wont pay more than 10p . Never. Question being : Will Mr Market afford him that chance ? Now theres the rub . . ....Bonne chance / a'bientot ... sois sages ,,,@+ J

Which just proves a point about dogs. Our lab, Honey, slipped in when this super soprano was singing at our Yule Tide party. Joined in the applause by wacking her tail on the floor. Unfortunately, she thought the applause was for her and tried to get some more - in the middle of the next song, bang, bang! So under the table SD and lie down!

Excellent post from TFC; what was quite amazing was that the FP agreed! Read it again, FP; low prices don't recur when there is a stream of positive news which renders them obsolete! Actually, SEO has performed well against the FT today and there is a good wave of blue going through so it seems likely that we will move back into positive territory. The point that I would add to TFC is that the numerate news when we get it about ASDA and the order book generally will establish a new perceived capitalisation. Lets suppose it is 150M (I suspect the minimum) or an s/p of 20p. The dedict the perceived maximum cost of the c/c, say 25m, you get 125M or an sp of 17p. This is a way of determining a support level that will appeal to the larger investors. It will be interesting to compare the actual outcome with this prediction but I think it is balanced, in tune with the more mature tone of this thread as our personal baby, SEO, achieves the full blossom of womanhood (I do see her as female!)

I personally see her as a chick with a dick. But that's just me, always wanting the best of both worlds. And I am just talking about shares here, guys and gals.

Time for a Quiz
I have got 1 blue in my Portfolio any guesses (only joking)

EWRobson - 23 Feb 2005 15:14 - 1732 of 27111

driver

There are two blues on my portfolio page and I am out of both of them: FDI which I had to close when SEO dropped last week and, wait for it, EPO. Now there's only one as EPO is DELETED, CAPUT, ELIMINATED, never to be considered again!

Eric

Fred1new - 23 Feb 2005 15:22 - 1733 of 27111

CIU.EPO, OXB blue but the rest are very red. all in all a B awful two days. C'est la vie. But the DJI is up again.

EWRobson - 23 Feb 2005 15:44 - 1734 of 27111

I'm voting for a green end today - balanced trading. As TFC pointed out, volumes are relatively low. Expect them to rise towards the end of the week with prelims on Monday. With the overall market in the state it is, the performance is relatively good; as we move forward in time, there will be more reason to buy ahead of announcem, ents and no more reason to sell; you could argue that those who are getting out are mostly out, bless them! Great - confidence restored!

Re CC case I understand the relevant SEO patents have to be handed over to BPRG by March 18th. The full claim by BPRG will be on the Courts Web site as soon as it is received, which surely must be any time soon so that we can all put this to bed. (So eager beavers do keep looking!) Meanwhile SEO issue another wad of Share Options...why did they not announce this a few days ago..they and the MM's must have known it was going to happen...who are their advisors, must check...jgt
