rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

Took a hit on yesterday's shorts on Dow and FTSE - stopped out on both. Have sat on my hands most of today. Now short @ 6559 again.

I only hold equities for yield, only have a few, mainly bonds in my ISA now.
