Hello Socs,

I'm out tomorrow so I'll not have time to reply to your mail. From today's price action, I'd say that the time was probably right to buy.

jeffmack - 28 Jul 2003 20:24 - 1724 of 23498

Hilary

Whats the latest over the road on Go Wiggy Go

Socrates - 29 Jul 2003 17:16 - 1731 of 23498

Jeff
It's the old old story, no news is good news. Shares remain suspended pending talks between Wiggins and LNC. Still the odd stirrer over there but no traders mixing it since there is no trading. How you are?

Vasey
What a joy. I would happily invite you to the NEC but I thought Glasgow was a bit far for the day. Did you find the special bubbly I left in the fridge for you, the bottle with the big tartan bow on it, tartan McRoy I think it is.

jeffmack - 29 Jul 2003 18:57 - 1732 of 23498

Socs
I'm good. Do the GWG brigade expect to be quids in? Are you meeting Croc at the NEC this weekend?

Socrates - 29 Jul 2003 19:28 - 1733 of 23498

Jeff
I am delighted all is well with you. The WGG brigade are uncertain as to what the outcome will be. Since there is no indication of what terms may be agreed it is idle speculation to predict anything at all.

As far as I am concerned, I merely hope there will not be a huge dilution. Obviously both sides see something to gain or there would be no talks at all and I see that as positive. Another aspect is that Oliver Iny has a large holding of WGG shares and will not want to see a large dilution of his personal stake. I suspect that WGG bring to the table their airports, property assets at a much below market valuation and LNC bring property and income. If it were all to be put together, there would be a substantial company with a good property portfolio, some of it international, and half a dozen slowly expanding airports plus a reasonable turnover from rents and property. What the city would make of it is open to conjecture but as I have pointed out to many, TBI started out as a property company. Would Iny continue with airports, would Iny continue? I am hopeful that an expanded company with no money worries would be positively received.

I think though that many of the WGG brigade are fearful of the outcome and probably are harking back to the last couple of years of bear market where so many have been taken to the cleaners.

As for the NEC, not sure about meeting Croc yet. Not decided which day to go so can't make any definite plan. Usually we decide near to the day depending on the weather forecast. Be nice to meet him, I've often read his posts but not had any contact before now. That's one thing I liked about the dear departed Cafe, the rogues gallery, you could see who you were taking to.

I went to one of the ADVFN traders days and met him there, also spoke on the phone, nice chap. What do you look for at the fairs or is it a general mooch.

Interesting the WGG thing, dragging its feet a bit though

Hot Lips - 29 Jul 2003 21:46 - 1735 of 23498

if i go to the nec fair i can meet you too socks i am looking for 2 figures and you could tell me what you think of my lovely pair of bobby dazzlers and then whatever else i am a naughty old thing you know

Socrates - 29 Jul 2003 21:49 - 1736 of 23498

Jeff
I was in the RAF, never met General Mooch! I like a good wander around but I am particularly interested in Japanese ceramics, art nouveau items and anything which is very detailed. So quite eclectic really. I want a couple of 100 baggers and then I can indulge myself. 'Her-indoors' likes silver/enamel compacts and antique postcards so I help her to look. Its a great fair and it's quite a task to cover it all in one day.

Re: The Wiggy Thing. (Calm down ladies, we're talking shares here) It could last for weeks yet. Talks like these, if serious, can drag on for ages if lawyers start raising petty points.

I've just popped in out of the rain and restocked the bar. Considering the few people who frequent the cafe now we don't half get through some booze.
