They still cannot be making any money and the number of fools prepared to part with their ca$h is dwindling.
Look out for another Steig of the dump share dump and the price will weaken further.
Come on moneygrabber post a few more irrelevant articles, you would make 3 times retired Keith a happy man. The career break from cleaning the public toilets in Richmond to trade a few Tadpole shares didn't do him much good, although no doubt the public toilets in Richmond are now cleaner than ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would not surprise me that TAD is being manipulated/groomed/whatever to be swallowed by Microsoft.
MS have used Tadpoles software distrbution model for a couple of their products.
Basically online distribution of software. This is the Future! In the next 5 years I predict practically all software will be distributed over the wire to the device wishing to use it.
There are two major camps testing this mechanism. One with MS interest the other with Sun interest.
Have you tried it! I have. I downloaded a trial of Encarta from MS and it was cumbersome. Whats holding it back?......bandwidth.
Once we have 6 to 8 meg broadband surely this is going to fly.
As for the other side of TAD's business....what market size?...perrrr!

why would Microsoft want to buy Tadpole for arguments sake for between 25m to 250m when they could easily develop the streaming software themselves for a whole lot less?
Give me a budget of 500,000 and I could get it done quite easily in Bangalore or Hanoi and still have change.
Give me a budget of 2m and I could get it done quite easily in the UK.
Next potential suitor please!!!!!!!!!!!

IRVINE, CA August 26, 2005: Stream Theory, Inc., a division of Tadpole Technology plc (LSE: TAD), today announced that it has signed a worldwide content provider agreement with Strategy First, a leading publisher and developer of interactive entertainment software. Strategy First, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Silverstar Holdings, Ltd. (NASDAQ: SSTR), publishes award winning titles such as the classic Disciples and Jagged Alliance series. Strategy First launched a new online store in May and has more than 20 titles available for purchase. Stream Theorys patented StreamFlow Games on Demand platform enables retailers, portals, game publishers, and ISPs to securely distribute PC games to broadband consumers under a variety of payment models.
We are delighted to participate with Stream Theory in capturing our share of the burgeoning online marketplace," said Brian Clarke, Strategy Firsts Executive Vice President. Strategy Firsts award-winning content and Stream Theorys patented delivery process provide a formidable combination to achieve that objective, Clarke said.
Stream Theory is very excited to welcome Strategy First to our content provider family, said Steig Westerberg, CEO of Stream Theory. This is a perfect opportunity for Stream Theorys worldwide digital distribution partners to increase exposure of Strategy First games to broadband gamers everywhere. Through our partnership we will delight current fans and attract new consumers of Strategy First games, Westerberg continued.
Games on Demand (GoD) is a broadband-only service where games application data is streamed to a users PC. Unlike one-time purchases at retail or through installed downloads, GoD subscriptions provide recurring revenue streams for game publishers and distribution partners. GoD is emerging as a new revenue-generating window of opportunity for a PC game after its brief sell-through period passes. 2004 ended with 118 million worldwide broadband subscribers according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. With Nielsen//NetRatings reporting current U.S. penetration at 60% the desire for new online services from broadband users is accelerating adoption of new technologies and business models. According to Parks Associates the number of households subscribing to GoD services will climb to more than 2 million by 2007.

what happened to the $9m and why are they still drawing down on Gem?
Why would Microsoft want to buy out the company when they can sign a deal for up to a maximum of $100,000?
These questions need answering but I suspect you do not have the answers yuff........

I would say that Ms would buy the technology in as I believe it will so fundamental to MS deploying their software in the future. No 1 to 2 yearer but for a long time to come.
The fact that they are using Encarta curtently on this service just shows how interested they are.
Rather than be held ransom by TAD they will take the company and absorb it into MS.
OR
Will MS do what they are really good at and steal the technology, rebrand it as their own and launch it...crushing the opposition. ??? mmmm

The answer is on iii in response to the same question put by you on that website. I am quite happy to paste Carta's anawer over on here if you would like.
Regarding your spin on the MS $100k, MS didn't get the software for $100k they got it to use on their trialware, whilst MS are big they don't sell a lot of software through direct methods other companies do that therefore SW thought wasting time and money on MS would be less productive than on new companies like the OEM deal who are prepared to pay millions of $'s for the software and future licensing.
MS as usual are interested in the software but don't want to pay for it although they might not have a choice in the future.
