Afternon all,
As usual just returned from trolley grand prix, these F1 guys have such an easy life, I have to do this 51 times a year, and have to change my own tyres, mind you the finish line normally has a prettier occupant then the flag waver they get!
LW
I wish it were so, but I was still awake when the phone rang at 1:30, someone needing cheering up, about an hours worth, so a bit ragged! Have to go visitng this afternoon when really I could do with some zzzzzzzzz.
Fundy,
I have never visited advfn, and have used this handle since '99, first on the now defunct Excite, then through various sites until this one, my most recent destination. (And frankly I don't think even I could be that pretentious...lol)

STORMCALLER - 30 Oct 2004 12:07 - 17316 of 23498

Have made fresh pot of tea should anyone be in need, I know I am!

Fundamentalist - 30 Oct 2004 12:12 - 17317 of 23498

Stormy

is was said tongue in cheek - AS is a bullshit poster who talks in a similar type of lanuage to the one you signed off with last night!!!

ill join you for a coffee - just having a lunch break - spending the day helping a neighbour move!!! first lorry load is in storage and the second is packed - just the third to go!!! (i have to help as i need him to return the favour in 6 weeks time!!!)

Socrates - 30 Oct 2004 12:13 - 17318 of 23498

I could be that pretentious, I just didn't think of it!

Hello Stormy, your call at 1:30, was it the Samaritans? They must get very depressed. I'll have some tea, thanks, two sweeteners and milk please.

STORMCALLER - 30 Oct 2004 12:26 - 17319 of 23498

Fundy,
I take your point, must try and cut the bullshit.....lol.
Coffee is good, because I didn't make it! Here it comes.
Socs,
Hello to you, no, not the Samaritans, an old friend who occassionally needs a bit of comfort, it seems I suit the purpose, or I am the only one awake at that hour? Tea is poured!

STORMCALLER - 30 Oct 2004 12:35 - 17320 of 23498

Fundy,
Is your move to the house that had a few legal tangles to unwind? I never saw mention of that being resolved, sorry if I missed it

Fundamentalist - 30 Oct 2004 13:09 - 17321 of 23498

Stormy

legals are all sorted (although i had to sort it myself as the two solkicitors involved dont know there head from their arses!!!!)

Also sold ours easier than expected so going to be in rented for 6 months while i do the renovation - ta for the coffee

STORMCALLER - 30 Oct 2004 13:24 - 17322 of 23498

Fundy,
Very glad to hear it has all been resolved so well, though not surprised by your experience with solicitors I am afraid, it's fortunate that you were able to deal with the problems yourself, otherwise that 6 months may have turned out very differently. Can we get the odd progress report?

jj50 - 30 Oct 2004 13:36 - 17323 of 23498

Hi Stormie and Fundy (or should it be stormy and fundie?) Did I hear coffee was on offer? I am off to watch a hockey match in half an hour so could do with a quick caffeine boost.

Don't mention solicitors...........I have spent five years dealing with them on a weekly basis and they just cost a fortune and confuse matters. At the very least they should be tax deductible and why on earth do they charge VAT - they are not a service............. add a slug of something to that coffee please, stormie, I think I need it.

Climbed off my orange box now, so how are you both? Sounds like a big renovation project Fundy but it will be worth it in the end - means you will be renting over Christmas I take it?

Stormie, I thought you were the Samaritan :-)

jj50 - 30 Oct 2004 13:37 - 17324 of 23498

Just noticed, amberjane hasn't been heard of since the bowling. Do hope she is OK, or failing that, in pursuit of Tom minus his ring!

Golddog - 30 Oct 2004 13:43 - 17325 of 23498

What a lovely lot of stories to read, it was like being a child again.

I wish i had naughty stories to tell but have led a very sheltered life. There was this one time when i knocked me pint over! oh the mess. The End.

Anyway i thought we might have a party maybe next weekend, fancy dress of course, bring a bottle. Get us all in here at the same time for a bit of fun.
How about next Sunday evening ?

:-)

Hightone, yes have got recent emails from you including the shagging flintstones.

STORMCALLER - 30 Oct 2004 13:44 - 17326 of 23498

jj50,
Good afternoon,
I trust you are well, coffee is ready and on it's way.
I am sometimes cast in that role, and if so it is a great compliment, but I will always try to help if I can

STORMCALLER - 30 Oct 2004 13:45 - 17327 of 23498

GD,
Good afternoon, great to see you again!

jj50 - 30 Oct 2004 13:46 - 17328 of 23498

Poochy - A rare honour to be in your presence these days. I think your absence means you are up to naughty things at the moment not just regaling us with tales of the past :-)

Always up for a party - see you...

jj50 - 30 Oct 2004 13:47 - 17329 of 23498

Coffee is superb, thanks stormy..

Golddog - 30 Oct 2004 13:57 - 17330 of 23498

Hi Stormy, and great to see you to.

JJ, lovely to be in the presence of a beautiful woman, and may i say how nice your hair is today! (just guessing?).

STORMCALLER - 30 Oct 2004 13:58 - 17331 of 23498

jj50,
Always a pleasure to serve you, and for once I seem to have got it right...lol

Golddog - 30 Oct 2004 13:58 - 17332 of 23498

and if eating a cheese sandwich at this very moment can be considered naughty! then yep i'm being very naughty.

Golddog - 30 Oct 2004 13:59 - 17333 of 23498

brown sauce all over me lips

oh so naughty!

STORMCALLER - 30 Oct 2004 14:00 - 17334 of 23498

GD,
Cheese sandwich rates poorly in the sin league table, but if you were to have a Bods.....
