GDP,

Thanks for the mention. You certainly do seem to be somewhat peeved!

My posts of the 16th related to the mention by T. Robins of SEO's comms with Tate and Lyle and the fact that their Hycail plant does not yet produce any significant amount of PLA. You may deem it a tenuous link, but I see it as a medium term prospect of a major supply of PLA to Europe.

My investment strategy is medium to long so am happy to keep my interst in SEO intact until real news changes my opinion. The potential is immense.

You're not a long-term investor and have been caught out with this stock....poor you, stop bellyaching would you.

By the end of next week at the latest we should have the interims through and also a mention of the first commercial GS installation {I hope}.

hewittalan6 - 19 Jun 2006 19:31 - 17325 of 27111

I hope so too. Not because I'm nervous, but because I'm off on my hols a week on Wednesday and would love to see the interims before I go, rather than have to look for them upon my return.
Still, like many on here, I will view the interims as nothing more, or less, than an interesting short term event, on the long road I set on with SEO.
Alan

Hewitt I wouldnt get too exicted... but we'll see.
And Garyble what a good word 'Peeved' is, Ive never heard that before and will be sure to try and use it.
I certainly am peeved and didnt mean to dicriminate agaisnt you as my example, your post was just one that looked very much like several others with no real link to SEO.

garyble - 19 Jun 2006 22:14 - 17327 of 27111

No probs GDP, I do appreciate views any which way as they provoke debate.

Hi G D P.

You say you bought these shares a few months ago. If you bought them for the medium to long term, as I did ( 2 to 5 years ) then I can see a good future profit, but if you bought for the short term, I can see why the frustration. I have followed SEO in depth for about 3 years so can say that on my research anything to do with packaging and it's future has possible effect on the future of the company. Because real news is in short supply we do tend to look for tentative links, which I feel is human nature.
As I have often stated, shares such as SEO are either almost total investment loss or sky high profits, this was my judgment on purchase, even more so when my initial purchase was made about 3 years ago.
I feel SEO are, due to all the info, trials etc released over the last year are just around the corner of big things. This is based on research and due to that balance of probability. We all have to judge.
I for one don't except any loss gracefully, but I am philosophical about it ( I think there's a difference).
Hope you stay with it but if you do sell, I hope you don't lose too much. IMHO of course.

tweenie - 20 Jun 2006 11:34 - 17329 of 27111

bye bye gdp. To avoid upsetting your sensitive persona, I'll try not to respond to any of your future bitter comments.
I wish you luck, Hope you come to terms with your losses in the LONG TERM.

In the SHORT term I wish you success with ramping sym.
lol

Just been catching up: cycle time increases with age, i.e. fewer cycles in a given time. Well done, Alan, its good to get the facts on the table. I think rmhyams comments may have been missed, though, that WalMart are already focussed on Natureworks so that the GM issue is not of major concern to them; it may be that ASDA are concerned because they think WM will be concerned. I suspect we are not dealing with people close to the action; as Terry Robins says - if GM-free content is required it can be provided. I suspect though that we are dealing with long cycle times (which is where I came in); hopefully, the statement with the interims will indicate progress. At least we should be in first gear re commercial Greenseal.

I merely enjoy the conflict between us Tweenie.
If I was to hold SEO for the LONG TERM then surely, no doubt about it, I would be coming to terms with profit would I not Tweenie?
Greekman - Well at least you have defended SEO with some good points, I was looking for more of a reply from Tweenie but it seems he lacks the zeal to tackle the points I propose.
For all other SEO holders spare a thought for Tweenie who seems to be struggling with his English and ability not to contradict himself.
Symphony all the Way.

1 million shares bought at 11.55 - an odd 90K. No movement in sp but likely to have soaked up some MM stock. Level 2 pretty balanced.

antofelli - 20 Jun 2006 12:35 - 17333 of 27111

Isn`t it 1.5 milion shares bought?

He must have a glimmer of hope yet.

angusrjy - 20 Jun 2006 17:29 - 17339 of 27111

Maybe he's in love with SEO and he's trying to drive down the share price so he can buy More more more!!!

oblomov - 20 Jun 2006 17:51 - 17340 of 27111

Anyone here in the WI? Tell them about SEO, if you are!

They are mounting a campaign to change supermarkets thinking on packaging. Not all great for us (see 1st paragraph) but the second paragraph is.

The National Federation of Women's Institutes (NFWI) which has around 215,000 UK members, is sending out letters to supermarket store managers as part of its "say no to packaging" campaign.

They also want supermarkets to package all groceries in compostable and recyclable materials.

Full article in the DM here - a lot of radio coverage of this today.

GD Potts, you are correct, SEO is all about potential and nothing more. If your in this for the short term then you might as well cut your losses and get out now at above 5p. I for one will continue to hold even at 5p until news that either competition has beaten SEO to delivering or negotiations fall apart.
You could say this is the dreamers thread, but some dreams come true. Lets not forget my current investment is mearly the profit from my first trade in SEO at 5p selling a 15p after missing the highs and being caught on the decent!! Call this madness or just plain stupid I can understand but its not over yet.

minordetail - 20 Jun 2006 19:58 - 17342 of 27111

Re Oblomov's comments on the WI campaign. Local TV news program "Midlands Today" showed a delegation of WI women visiting their local supermarket to complain about packaging. Although they would be visiting all supermarkets in their area the one on camera happened to be ASDA. After meeting the store manager the ladies said they were encouraged by what ASDA were actually in the process of doing about the matter. There's no turning back now risking the wrath of the WI.
Seriously for these ladies to focus on this matter of excessive and non degradable packaging indicates the inevitability of the changes that have to happen. SEO certainly are well placed to contribute to these changes. I thinkwe may trip over the cusp soon.........

EWRobson - 20 Jun 2006 20:07 - 17343 of 27111

Re the buy orders, they were originally shown as 2 off of 500K shares. Subsequently changed to 750K with time at 01:00. Trades listing via latest trade still shows the volume at 500K. So some confusion; probably matches our collective mindset about this company! Maybe the collective mindset of the management. Talking at the weekend to an apple grower. Cox's all go now via packers and they vary the criteria for rejection: not 25% red (thought Cox's didn't have it) and they are rejected; the grower is then charged 80 per whatever quantity and ends up paying the packer. Morality level is zilch. So what is all this green stuff worth except for what they can get out of it. Are poor old SEO being hung out to dry? Hope someone has a positive response.
