jeffmack,
So thoughtful, I am touched!

Cheers.

Socrates - 30 Oct 2004 22:32 - 17368 of 23498

How kind. Thanks Jeff.

Re. the Guinness, I just found I was stood on my head, everything OK now.

optomistic - 30 Oct 2004 22:36 - 17369 of 23498

Thanks Jeff for the Guiness, delightful stuff, I'll have another but will lay off the sherry trifle if that's what it does to you :-)

STORMCALLER - 30 Oct 2004 22:47 - 17370 of 23498

opto,
Try it you might like it.......lol

Spaceman - 30 Oct 2004 22:51 - 17371 of 23498

Socrates, no its not got 3 legs, in fact I dont have a horse.

STORMCALLER - 30 Oct 2004 22:55 - 17372 of 23498

Spaceman,
How do you know how many legs it's got then...?

optomistic - 30 Oct 2004 23:00 - 17373 of 23498

Some one in here must have told him
Wouldn't be one of the girlies would it :-)

STORMCALLER - 30 Oct 2004 23:03 - 17374 of 23498

opto,
I can't believe the lovely ladies that frequent this site would be so underhand?!?

optomistic - 30 Oct 2004 23:10 - 17375 of 23498

Ummh!! You could be right Stormy, must not judge them in their absense. All out tonight enjoying themsleves no doubt whilst we are here looking after the shop. Shows who the 'home birds' are doesn't it!!

Spaceman - 30 Oct 2004 23:13 - 17376 of 23498

STORMCALLER, I worked it out using this useful table that I keep on my wall :-

Number of Horses owned / Number of Horse legs
10 / 40
9 / 36
8 / 32
7 / 28
6 / 24
5 / 20
4 / 16
3 / 12
2 / 8
1 / 4
0 / 0

As I dont have a horse I used the number 0 for the number of horses owned and then looked across the table to find the number of horse legs.

Feel free to make a copy of the table for your own use.

STORMCALLER - 30 Oct 2004 23:13 - 17377 of 23498

opto,
You are right of course, but then it is comforting to know they have a safe haven should they decide to return.....snigger

optomistic - 30 Oct 2004 23:20 - 17378 of 23498

Space, thanks for the enormous amount of time you have spent in compiling this very useful table. Do have a drink on the house.

optomistic - 30 Oct 2004 23:25 - 17379 of 23498

Will say goodnight to all now must be up early in the morning to have breakfast.
Night

STORMCALLER - 30 Oct 2004 23:31 - 17380 of 23498

Goodnight opto.
Spaceman,
That information is most enlightening, given my performance in the gee gee game, it is clear I hadn't understood this clearly, hopefully, it will help!

STORMCALLER - 31 Oct 2004 00:10 - 17381 of 23498

As I got in late I think I can afford a refill, after all it is the weekend!

Kayak - 31 Oct 2004 00:21 - 17382 of 23498

There is a problem with your table, Spaceman. Once I saw a donkey with five legs. They do that in the evening after having worked all day, you know gals.

STORMCALLER - 31 Oct 2004 01:08 - 17383 of 23498

Gotta blow
Goodnight all

amberjane - 31 Oct 2004 01:14 - 17384 of 23498

I've seen a few species that have three after working all night but
they cant often keep it up for long.

stockbunny - 31 Oct 2004 07:44 - 17385 of 23498

Good Morning!!
Yes I know the clocks went back last night - but try explaining that
to a 12 year old cat who's used to getting fed at 6.30 sharp every morning!!

GD - thanks for the pumpkins, I know I said I wanted some for decoration
today and some candles..I was thinking about maybe 12 or so......
Looks like I've got about 12 dozen here, so I'll be busy hollowing out
this morning - bless him such a generous Pooch!!! :>)
Well all I can say is I hope you all like pumpkin pie, cos there's
going to be heaps of them with all the inner 'left-overs'!!!
Toffee Apples will also be available - but leave some for the kids
who may get brave enough to call at the Tea-Rooms after dark.
:>)

Fundamentalist - 31 Oct 2004 07:52 - 17386 of 23498
