Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

Bluelady - 27 Jul 2007 10:30 - 17375 of 24230

Gosh Socrates, I thought it was water for everything else which was in short supply, not drinking water.

Socrates - 27 Jul 2007 11:14 - 17376 of 24230

It's all relative Bluelady. We have made certain we have enough drinking water but we do have to use it for other purposes too. Just to flush the loo takes 7 litres. By the time washing, washing up, washing clothes and cooking etc. are taken into account, you can see how it adds up. It can be quite difficult when there is nothing coming out of the taps.

Bluelady - 27 Jul 2007 11:19 - 17377 of 24230

Socrates, it must be difficult to have no water coming from taps at all. When I was very small there was a drought in one of the countries in which I lived but at least the water did come on sporadically throughout the day

Keaydian, not that I would ever suggest you slim down but I read this and thought of you ;0).

Oh er.

Bluelady - 27 Jul 2007 15:24 - 17379 of 24230

Keaydian, will a pint or two if guinness loosen your tongue?

KEAYDIAN - 27 Jul 2007 15:42 - 17380 of 24230

Hmmm, let's find out.

Bluelady - 27 Jul 2007 15:45 - 17381 of 24230

The glasses of guinness are on the bar but make sure none have been touched by the kangaroos.

optomistic - 27 Jul 2007 15:59 - 17382 of 24230

Can I have a pint please

KEAYDIAN - 27 Jul 2007 16:07 - 17383 of 24230

There all mine,

KEAYDIAN - 27 Jul 2007 16:08 - 17384 of 24230

I mean they're

Spaceman - 27 Jul 2007 16:09 - 17385 of 24230

Cn I have a pint please?

This_is_me - 27 Jul 2007 16:09 - 17386 of 24230

It seems a bit ironic that when the water level is up to the top of the washing line that people can't wash their clothes.

Try playing football and come home with clean clothes.

Gloucester, Matthew Clift sent this photo of the city's football ground completely submerged by water

Is it true that there is a hosepipe ban in Gloucester?

Bluelady - 27 Jul 2007 16:14 - 17387 of 24230

Boys, beers are on the house, not literally of course.

optomistic - 27 Jul 2007 16:17 - 17388 of 24230

Thanks Blue, now you don't like Guinness, what would you like?

Bluelady - 27 Jul 2007 16:19 - 17389 of 24230

To see you boys drinking copious amount of beer and divulging all your secrets.

optomistic - 27 Jul 2007 16:22 - 17390 of 24230

We will drink the beer but what secrets could we possibly have of interest to a lady :-)

Bluelady - 27 Jul 2007 16:25 - 17391 of 24230

That is true optomistic, perhaps a cup of tea would be preferable.

optomistic - 27 Jul 2007 16:33 - 17392 of 24230

I'll have the Guinness you have the tea, Blue...are you t-total?

KEAYDIAN - 27 Jul 2007 16:38 - 17393 of 24230

I have a secret..............

Socrates - 27 Jul 2007 17:40 - 17394 of 24230

Tell all, do.
