TMC...One of the miners that hasnt bounced yet (TMC)

siwel2 - 17 Feb 2006 10:17

Interesting little company. Did a series of asset swops to leave them with half of the 4th largest Nickel deposit in the world.
The deposit itself is in the Philippines has been known about for 30 years but due to low prices and lack of demand in the Far East it was never exploited. With the explosion in demand from India and China the nickel price has climbed from $2 to $6.50 but oddly enough is still considered low.
The final approval stage for exploitation is just about to be approved and extraction will begin. The company already has one contract with a Japanese smelter and is in discussions with smelters in a series of countries.
Nothing clever about the operation, as the ore is of sufficiently high grade, they dig it up and ship it out. Infrastrucure is already in place for operation.
TMC is currently priced at 18m, the initial Japanese contract is worth 4m and each additional contract will hopefully be at this level or greater.
Final approval turns the company into a producer and each additional contract simply increases their size.
The management is tight with cash and has some good quality mining skills onboard.
The Philippine government is fast tracking the final approval and the company says it expects it shortly.
One to hold for approval and through the series of RNS's as more contracts are won. Company should be worth 50m in 6 months and 100m in 12-18 months.
Buy it, ignore it, just pointing this one out.

What really confuses me is, that having a 9p spread as they have at the moment, is designed to stop people wanting to trade. Surely as the MM's work on a commission basis this dosn't make sence. Shouldn't they be encouraging more deals by closing the spread therefore making more money honestly. Its about time that we had a level playing field and ended some of these 40% spreads. Who do we see to try and get some thing done about this. Any ideas.

It would appear that the price has been fixed for today, irrespective of trading position. This confirms what I've been saying about spreads and price fixing.

As long as directors are not selling shares their current exercise of options at 1.50 should indicate their expectation of a further surge in the price of TMC. News of Xstratas bid for Lionore may focus more attention on the cheapness of TMC.

Someone give me 50 million, I'd buy the company. Todays fall is an absolute joke.

the grand old duke of york .... etc etc etc

oilyrag - 27 Mar 2007 08:45 - 181 of 879

Yesterday they sting us with an 11p drop when 62,000 purchased against 58,000 sold. Today 18,000 purchased and no movement so far, what gives.

oilyrag - 27 Mar 2007 08:47 - 182 of 879

Hooray 0.5p at last!

oilyrag - 27 Mar 2007 10:37 - 183 of 879

38,000 bought 18,000 sold at 10:30am and they move the price down. IF THATS NOT FIXED THEN I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS. CHEATS, CHEATS, SWINDLERS , PIRATES, LOCK THEM ALL UP AND THROW AWAY THE KEY. I Hope that the buyer on the end of this one gets all the availiable stock to stop this nonsence.

expert - 02 Apr 2007 09:24 - 189 of 879

TMC is still way undervalued, it has a lot of catching up to do. The operations update should be out in the next two weeks and there is a lot of anticipation.

oilyrag - 02 Apr 2007 09:25 - 190 of 879

A broker deal for 375 shares just gone through, they must be really short of stock. This could be on the verge of a substantial rise.
