Oily,
Thanks for that. I still have no further info. The main thing I find puzzling is why T D W only a couple of days ago stated today for release.

Oily, I can only think that they may be hiding good news, or bad news. ;-)
They may well be finalising details for the long awaited contract, but with who?!

They could, of course, just be waiting for Alan to return from his holiday in Mexico!

I don't think they would either be allowed or have a reason to hide bad news, it makes no difference whether they announce bad news now or in 2-3 weeks time it's still gonna hurt. However if they are waiting for contracts to be signed either for Greenseal or Wrap 100 then this maybe why they are postponing the interim announcements? I Hope.

When I spoke to Sylvia, in reply to my comment, she did say that it would be "nice" if they could announce contract(s) with WM, Perseco, McD or Coca Cola at the same time. But please do not take that as hint that there is anything of that nature waiting in the wings. Her voice did not give any indication whatsover that there was anything imminent.

anyone know the exact date for the end of the 'exclusivity' period for asda?
was it in july?
lets hope another month of thumb twiddling results in some proper news.

Interims. Their website said "end of June" earlier this week but it now says "By mid July 2006 at the latest, exact date to be confirmed".
Exclusivity. At the AGM I asked if this was to be changed in the light of delays. We were told that ASDA really only want a short period in which to announce how green they are - they cannot keep repeating the same thing over and over again. Without looking up my notes taken at the time I think it was to be 2 months from first full commercialisation [whatever that means].

Tony, Yes, I remember 2 months being mentioned at the time from when the first "commercialized" machine is installed.

As I recall the reports from the AGM, it was anticipated that it would be 2 months to Commercialisation and then two months exclusivity. That means 'commercialisation' about now and ASDA exclusivity in July and August. I suspect that, for credibility's sake, that it is important that these dates are met. So perhaps the most important thing to be announced on Interims day is that this period has started. This could well explain a late delay to the announcement date. It seems more likely than the otehr explanations mooted: new contract with Starpol or Wrap; new FD starting. If I am right, the indication is that the announcement could be positive and the next bull market about to start!

Really a comment for my friends Andysmith and Bosley. Uncle Eric suggests a toe-dipping investment at the present price. Influenced by the Shares comment that looks pretty balanced. Upside a ten-bagger! Downside? It would seem quite unlikely that the present support level of 8.2p will be breached. Could this happen? Yes: if the Greenseal saga drags on and on and there is no compensating news on other fronts. The balance surely is that we need to be in to a reasonable level, ready to accumulate as the sp gets going again; but the initial response to good news would almost certainly be a sharp mark-up as MMs avoid getting caught short by the army of Shares enthusiasts! A charting sign too: MACD at head of thread is looking positive; small volumes but there is little selling enthusiasm.

Yet another deadline missed......in fact two: Interims and possibly first commercial placement of a GS unit.
On a positive note, they could be delaying the interims to co-ordinate with ASDA/WM release....very wishfull thinking!
I don't think the start date of the new FD would have a bearing as we all know he's about to start so what impact would such news have?
I suspect the figures must be pretty poor for SEO to hold for what I guess is expected positive news.

garyble: we all know that the figures will be uninspiring so can't see that as a motive for holding. More likely that just haven't had the capacity to get the work done linked with a demob happy FD. The news thing is a possibility. We tend to forget that they are a small company in terms of human resources; getting the story right is maybe more important than hitting non-material deadlines.

Eric,
Point taken in both respects about getting the "story" right and being a small company.
Well all I can say is that I hope they muster up the resources to get the story right by "mid-July" at the latest!...Its only another 10 working days.

My view on the delay in results is that this is another major balls up and lack of awareness on the part of SEO's management (and TD Waterhouse). Why create such uncertainty by giving the impression that results were due today and then suddenly change to mid July. Something stinks here. They could be waiting to announce a deal alongside results but that is no reason to hold up any announcements even if the latter are worse than expected. My view is the results are bad / worse than expected and they are now literally hoping something can be done in terms of deals to mitigate the poor results. What happens when we get 2-3 weeks down the line and no deal is announced AND they announce crap results possibly with the termination of Greenseal. While I'm grumbling the latter also worries me big time now. We are into July and SEO have gone completely silent on Greenseal. They have supposedly been trialling their equipment on new build packing lines for 18 months+ now but we still haven't seen any positive progress. There were 150 engineers at Premier Tech in the US all ready to rapidly roll out Greenseal, all gone quiet there as well. The fund raising several weeks ago was a surprise as was the former FD going without reason.
Finally and it is something that worries many investors and has been pointed out here eralier this week is why aren't the directors filling their boots with shares and putting their money where their mouths are! Very puzzling, or not!
SEO now need to give some very straight answers and some detail as to what is going on.
One of the very few pluses for me this year could be Fidelity buying in (can anyone confirm they still hold) HOWEVER my understanding is that even they can call it wrong big time as with SKP.

Another worrying sign is that if there was some good news RE contracts you would normally here some rumours by now in the national press and as far as I know there's not been a sniff nor even a mention about Stanelco.

All I'm looking for is steps in the right direction, and hoping the interims reveal as much. So as long as that requirement is met, I don't really care when the interims is released.
I believe that there's too much going for GS for it to fail, and as others have already commented, it could simply be ASDA/WM wanting to establish the technology over a significant period {say 1 yr} before their big GREEN announcement {packaging materials and machines}.

Angusrjy,
Leaks on potential deals is one thing, but when a seriously large deal is staring you in the face, you'd best keep your lips firmly shut for fear of blowing it!

Dawall,
Difference of opinion re the reason for the delay, but saying that, I am not going to say you are wrong.
As to directors buying, they have been in a 6 week closed period re the results date and probably longer than that re those ( not yet received ) but expected trial results. I do fully agree the poor communications to investors and I would think T D Waterhouse are none too pleased as it makes them look unprofessional. If I were on the board, I would be making my feelings known to SEO management.
So summing up. Still expect good news over bad, but not happy.

Just received this from Stanelco.
Dear Mr xxxxxxxxx
Thank you for your enquiry
We are finalising the interim results and intend to release them by mid July at the latest. Once we have a firm date we will update the calendar on our website accordingly.
With the recent updates to the website we have had a few technical difficulties amending our calendar information which we have now resolved.
Regards
Robert Duggan
