Bring it on DD

amberjane - 01 Nov 2004 13:53 - 17471 of 23498

Afternoon guys, guess the girls must all be pampering themselves as i understand the schools are back today.

Thanks Jen for asking after me, yes survived the bowling, came 2nd and 3rd in the two games, so that's OK, great fun.

Now Opto, I may have to move in with you so you can tighten the reins, have been out to 4 lunches last week! Not good - really am a ms roley poley now!!! Was just thinking of going swimming but its soooooooo cold. I like Hils new fitness regime I think that best suits me rather than Buns salad diet, although it sounds delish im sure. And its a friends birthday tomorrow so that's a must, still i'm in today so that's a start! :>)

amber
Is that you in the photo on the bowling thread?

hilary - 01 Nov 2004 14:10 - 17473 of 23498

Amber,

As attractive as the Q & A fitness regime sounded, I've recently invested in a new rowing machine and a stepping machine just in case it doesn't actually work.

:o)

This_is_me - 01 Nov 2004 14:12 - 17474 of 23498

I never did like pizza and I'll thank you not to mention soup - I was left in charge of a pot this morning and then there was that pungent burnt smell from the kitchen - I'm in trouble!

hilary - 01 Nov 2004 14:49 - 17475 of 23498

Jeffie,

You might like to consider a "PortaPuzzle".

portapuzzle_example_2.jpg

They start at 24.99 including VAT.

:o)

Kayak - 01 Nov 2004 14:51 - 17476 of 23498

That porta looks good. I would love to have her carry my things. Do you have to buy the puzzle too?

Priscilla - 01 Nov 2004 14:53 - 17477 of 23498

Now that is a narrow room! So small they had to find a model who didn't mind their 'editing' her legs! Her feet would have touched the wall.....

amberjane - 01 Nov 2004 15:18 - 17478 of 23498

Sounds exhausting Hils but Im sure they'll get well used in your house over the winter :>). I'm still getting in the frame of mind for a swim!!! dont have an indoor extrally (is that a word?) heated pool do you?

Jeffers, what picture, looks like its been taken of :>) ugggggg, it was of the group down the end anyhow!

hilary - 01 Nov 2004 15:36 - 17479 of 23498

Amber,

I used to visit the gym regularly, but I found that I was getting muscle bound (Madonna - yuk!). We've put the machines on the landing so that they don't get overlooked and forgotten. 6 or 7 minutes on the rower burns around 100 cals. 15 minutes total each day is enough, imo.

I wish I did have an indoor pool. That would be the height of luxury for me!

chocolat - 01 Nov 2004 15:43 - 17480 of 23498

Was just thinking the same thing, Priscilla - I s'pose staring at a puzzle beats staring at a blank wall?

Jules - 01 Nov 2004 15:48 - 17481 of 23498

Choccie.... that puzzle looks almost as boring as the wall and her hairstyle!

chocolat - 01 Nov 2004 15:50 - 17482 of 23498

Was thinking that too, Jules. I mean, there are horsies...
...and then there are stallions. ;)

chocolat - 01 Nov 2004 15:50 - 17483 of 23498

Ooops - not that good to post twice. :)

jeffmack - 01 Nov 2004 16:18 - 17484 of 23498

Thanks Hils, thats Christmas sorted

Priscilla - 01 Nov 2004 16:24 - 17485 of 23498

Right, tea's made. Just letting it brew and there are some ginger biscuits for the hungry visitors.....

Jules - 01 Nov 2004 16:41 - 17486 of 23498

choccie, have a feeling we are on the same wave length:-)
Priscilla, think I will give the tea a miss..I'll start on the wine before the kids get home:-) BTW how are you?

Spaceman - 01 Nov 2004 16:43 - 17487 of 23498

Chocolat, you talking about my horse again?

P, a couple of those ginger bics please

hilary - 01 Nov 2004 16:46 - 17488 of 23498

Is that your Crimbo pressie for Mrs Mack, Jeffie?

:o)

hilary - 01 Nov 2004 16:47 - 17489 of 23498

She told me that she was buying you some new carpet slippers and a pair of Wallace and Gromit socks, Jeffie.

Ooops. I've spoiled the surprise now.

:o)
