Socrates - 01 Aug 2003 19:06 - 1761 of 23498

Hi all, back in a bit late tonight. Busy day at the mill.

Vasey
You know you have an open invitation. Where are you these day's, you have been AWOL for a while.

Crocodile.
I am one of those strange mortals, no mobile phone. It is odd but I've never felt the need. I will try to be around the central cafe area around midday. Light blue T shirt, light beige trousers, balding, overweight and glasses. Yes I know, but at 'over sixty' I'm allowed to indulge myself a bit.

jgp212 - 01 Aug 2003 22:18 - 1762 of 23498

Another late light in prospect!!

Dood Evening all and may you have a nice weekend:-)

Where the bloody hell is the Sherry Trifle

The sherry trifle is where it always is, in the fridge marked "SHERRY TRIFLE". I don't know, some people just can't help themselves.

Interesting news article just in from the local Birmingham Paper:

From our correspondent Abig Fibber.

A senior citizen was detained at the NEC Antiques Fair today for behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace. A spokesman for the security group said,

"We first observed the man looking strangely at other men, particularly men wearing black T shirts and blue jeans. Then he started approaching them saying "Crocodile". Whilst odd, this behaviour was regarded as harmless. However, he then started approaching ladies asking "are you hotlips". At this point the man was detained and handed over to the constabulary."

Subsequently the man was released without charge. A police spokesman said: "The man is obviously deranged, he said he was trying to find a couple of internet aquaintences called 'Hotlips' and Crocodile'. Clearly a person of his age would not even know how to switch on a computer let alone surf the internet".

jeffmack - 02 Aug 2003 19:01 - 1765 of 23498

So what did you buy Socs

Socrates - 02 Aug 2003 19:12 - 1766 of 23498

Jeff
Nothing at all, apart from some goodies in the cafe. I saved my money to fritter away on shares.

Socrates - 03 Aug 2003 09:53 - 1767 of 23498

Here is old Socco, sitting alone in the cafe. Sunday papers strewn all around, cafe patio doors wide open and the sun streaming in. Teas a brewin' and bacon sizzling. For what more can a chap ask?

jgp212 - 03 Aug 2003 10:42 - 1768 of 23498

Sex!!

LOL

Jeff

Socrates - 03 Aug 2003 10:57 - 1769 of 23498

Sounds as though you are at it already:-)

See you later.

Have a nice day all

Jeff

Socrates. Many thanks for the tickets for the NEC. Really enjoyed the day but unfortunately did not find that 50 Tiffany
Did ask if anyone had seen an old work called Socrates but to no avail!
Kept my eyes open for you and waited at the restuarant area at the back from about 1AM.
See you at the next one
Regards D.

Hi Croc
Missed each other in the crowds. I was at the middle cafe for snack at midday. I was minded of your liking for art nouveau glass. There was not as much there is normal, in fact I thought the fair was smaller than some I have seen.
