I believe it was Thomas Edison who developed a practical light bulb toward the end of 1879 and who had over 400 attempts at getting it working - now look at where it is. Perhaps Greanseal is following in edisons footsteps - only another 380 attempts to go !!!!!!!

Hi Ssanebs, is that in a factory or at their HQ in Southampton?

oblomov - 04 Jul 2006 08:58 - 17541 of 17557

I agree with you 100%, there is something not right in the house of Stanelco.

garyble - 05 Jul 2006 15:39 - 17559 of 27111

~640K shares sold is hardly a rush for the door, but the rash of AT trades seems interesting!

ssanebs - 05 Jul 2006 15:58 - 17560 of 27111

dont know how many times but 16 hours was the period it had to pass

oblomov - 05 Jul 2006 16:06 - 17561 of 27111

Still most interesting, but can you answer my question please, ssanebs. Where did you here this?

kimoldfield - 05 Jul 2006 16:07 - 17562 of 27111

Ssanebs, have you any idea when it was passed?

ssanebs

I seem to recall being told at the AGM that the greenseal machine had successfully completed 16 hours of continuous running at their Southampton offices. In fact, I think if was mentioned in the AGM statement. Correct me if I am wrong.

This is only news if the machine has been running without breakdowns for 7 consecutive days in a commercial environment.

Just back from a hospital opp I see not much has changed here its not even worth reading the back posts or is it.

Driver

Welcome back. Hope your recuperation goes smoothly.

I wouldn't bother with most of the stuff. Perhaps Eric's posts are the most worthwhile to read over the past few days.

I wouldn't bother with anyone who uses bad language.

The oily one

oblomov - 05 Jul 2006 20:23 - 17568 of 27111

Well, Oily, not worth reading your posts either as you've got it wrong on the 16 hours at the AGM - it was 8 hours.

Pay attention, you silly sod!

Welcome back driver - I suggest you read my posts - brilliant as ever. lol

Talking of leaks, from the "Captain" on another bb:

"Captain guide reporting. SEO will bring very very good news soon along with the interims on Thursday next week. ( I have to say that I heard some rumours)"

Will he be on the money this time????

Oilywag - 05 Jul 2006 21:14 - 17570 of 27111

Oblomov

Tsk tsk tsk

The oily one

The only Captain here is Captain Scarlet, the red that has been draped on SEO's share price since last Autumn when all started to not be as it should with Greenseal. 30p sp was based not on the 200 potential machines at Asda but many more including USA and I also believed that last Spring. Now we have 2?? and it is quite pathetic but one has worked for 16 hours, whoopy-doo!!
I advised last Autumn that something was not right, the forecast profits were constantly being reduced and I baled out at 21p as I believed that Starpol whilst having potential sales was a cover for the faltering Greenseal progress which later emerged to be true. Stanelco have now lost credibility and whilst there are several other potential fronts being worked on there are very little sales and no signs of profits. Deal or No Deal, it will be a struggle for SEO sp now until they must finally deliver. I have to admire the will of those still holding but as I said last year, you could have sold and bought back twice as many. Good Luck brave folk still holding and I honestly hope that a major contract is done to drive the sp back up for you.

angusrjy - 05 Jul 2006 21:39 - 17572 of 27111

Don't we all but I think all this testing particulary, on all 3 main models of sealing machines, including buying either new machines or second user one's should have been done way before even talking to such big players like ASDA & WM. SEO seem to have rushed into this and only seem to have just got their website to an acceptable standard.

andysmith - 05 Jul 2006 21:39 - 17573 of 27111

Problem for Greenseal IMO is that maybe the maths doesn't add up as expected and the potential savings may not justify the expense of conversion and royalties. There are many applications that still require laminates to maintain gas barriers so no material cost-savings. There maybe an energy saving but RF sealing is slow so potentially reduced cycle speed off-sets some savings. Add to that inconsistent performance and would you pay for a conversion and royalties? So bring on Starpol, it has to be competitive but so far have you seen any detail on profits? Rather than build their own plant they will licence the technology. Does this story have deja vu, set alarm bells ringing? No doubt all will be revealed this year and maybe SEO will prove a now sceptical market wrong.

andysmith

Do you hold??
Or do you have any proven info that SEO aren't going to get there

If the latter please provide us with the info

I personally think you talk a load of bollocks

Biscuit - 05 Jul 2006 22:30 - 17575 of 27111

AndySmith has always been the same on SEO, filtered him ages ago, not worth reading, bias views I think!!
