THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

The whole story does not add up. I for one minute do not think the top man of g4 has just come forward, two weeks before the games. Something does not add up.

Fred1new - 15 Jul 2012 17:31 - 17627 of 81564

Chuckles.

But this government is supposed to be in charge.

I would have thought anybody in charge of security of this "country" would have considered the "Games" as a likely target and "WOULD" have had daily or weekly updates and detailed appraisal of the risks and possible "remedies".

To me it seems that this has not been done.

If it hasn't it smacks of the type of incompetence, which is being expected of the ministers of "THIS" Government.

The "vetting" of overseas visitors and immigrants this country seems to be another "FIASCO".

In the state of management this country has at the moment I can see no need for a Parliamentary Recess, the Parliamentary part timer should be expected to work a full week and have reduction in holidays.

G4S is another example of private companies incompetence similar to the Banks having to be bailed out by the Public purse.

Incompetent management.

=====================

Ps.

When Osborne,Cameron and others stop blaming the Labour party for their own mistakes, I would expect them to start blaming their own mothers for having them.

I do!

Im keeping watch on the length of her nose, as I think it may well grow .

Fred1new - 15 Jul 2012 19:27 - 17636 of 81564

Ald,

You must be getting tired with all the thinking you are trying to do.

Have a nap, before you read this.

-----------------
What has the tory led coalition done about:

“Uncontrolled immigration

Not building more prison's

Building on flood plains

Not reforming an outdated expensive's system”

1) Nothing, immigration is even a bigger problem. The only thing the tories have done so far is redefined the problems, to excuse their own actions,

2) How many new prisons have they built and how many do you want?

Personally, I would prefer a new school and hospital, as long as they weren’t PFI or privatised.

3) The building on flood plains was and are mainly by Private Sector companies for profits and personal gain at the expense of the state.

4) Which ”expensive’s “ system are you referring to, but remember you have a self interested tory cabinet, which appears to many to be capable of practicing corruption. (Have a chat with Murdoch or Rebecca.)

---------
I far as I was concerned the Iraqi war was wrong and there was no legal basis for US and British action. Look back to the thread on Israeli Gaza conflict thread and other threads and you will see I condemned Blair and others for the action.

I have a respect for Human rights (even yours), and I am glad that the UK have signed.

The UK's name and past actions don’t smell as rosy in other countries, as they do for some at home.

Not signing would have been political stupidity.

Should it have changes made, or update, due to some obvious minor weaknesses, of course.

But the majority of legislation needs tinkering with at some point or other.

The weaknesses are minor and overplayed by the ranting of Fauxrage and the looney right wing of the tory party.
------------

“Signing Westminster's power's over to the EU”

Before and after this economic crisis is over, there will be more centralisation in the EU and more financial organisation will be in the EU.

The UK floats around Europe and is only a bit player in the total economics of the Eurozone of over 300,000,000 . (It can’t even afford its own army.)

=--------
"Signing the one-sided extradition treaty with the US"
.

Needs modifying with reasonable proof of crime being committed. But the same rules should be applied to both US and UK.

"Supercasinos".

Don’t like them. They don’t seem to have taken off.

I hope they are not the breeding ground for, or controlled, by criminal fraternity

If properly regulated and supervised I cannot object, but I would vote for a ban on boxing booths and clubs in an attempt to prevent further unnecessary brain damage to the participants and enthusiasts.

“24 hour drinking “

Didn’t like the law change at the time. The problem seems to be late night drinking in city areas.

Difficult to go back, but there might be a case for increasing tax on alcohol.

---------

As the Labour party government did build decent new hospitals and schools etc. I can excuse some of their mistakes.

You may be still able to get treatment at some of them, free of charge for the time being.

(Unless the doctors and nurse all go abroad like the bankers.)

-----
(Don’t mention PFIs. I stated on one of the threads years ago, that I thought they were a daft idea and building up trouble.for the future.)

-----------------
Have a better week than the last one.

aldwickk - 15 Jul 2012 21:54 - 17637 of 81564

There is not much you can do to about Labour building on flood plains , what do you want the government to do pull the house's down ?

“Uncontrolled immigration ....... you can't close the stable door that Labour opened due to their secret policy of mass emigration, a policy that was not even known by they own MP's only Mandy , Blair and i bet that the unelected Alistair Campbell also knew. They should have been charged with treason.

the Labour party government did build decent new hospitals and schools

Building them is easy , installing decent management and controlling the tax payers money is the hard part. BTW it was Labour who over paid the GP's by paying them more to do less , unbelievable.

The most of the rest of your post is not worth replying to.

Fred1new - 16 Jul 2012 09:05 - 17638 of 81564

Must have been past your bedtime.

aldwickk - 16 Jul 2012 10:25 - 17639 of 81564

I take it you agree with me ? If that is the only reply you can come up with [ what my sleeping times as to do with your reply to my post I don't know]

Fred1new - 16 Jul 2012 17:20 - 17640 of 81564

Aids,

Now your are awake.

What are the IMFs projection for the UK economy under your tory coalition government?

Forgot , must blame Labour and the Euro-zone for letting Dave and George down.

Are the moody ones going to downgrade the UK?

Mind we are alright, the country is "safe" under Cruella and Dave's private sector security schemes.

I think that we should take their spades away.
--------

aldwickk - 16 Jul 2012 17:41 - 17641 of 81564

I see you are still obsessed with my sleeping habit's , how did you know i was awake were you up a tree spying into my bedroom, you dirty old man.

Haystack - 16 Jul 2012 18:09 - 17642 of 81564

There is an amazing similarity between that picture and how I imagine Fred.

Stan - 16 Jul 2012 18:26 - 17643 of 81564

You two really do need to get out more you know.

required field - 16 Jul 2012 19:27 - 17644 of 81564

Naaahhh....You're not going to Obergurglll......wherever that is ...(Austria I think).....

Fred1new - 16 Jul 2012 19:55 - 17645 of 81564

Stan,

I would see as cases of self projections by Alds and hays.

But Alds does seem to get caught up with sexual innuendoes.

I wonder if he has any problems problem in this area of his life.
=========
Aids,

As far as anybody spying into your bedroom is concern, please spare me my blushes at the thought of it.

As far, as I am concerned, what you, or Hays, get up to in your bedrooms are private matters and up to yourselves.

I think you are adults old enough to give consent, if necessary.

===

But once again, it seems to me, both of you expose the weaknesses of any arguments you may have, by personally attacking the messenger and ignoring the message.

Both of you seem to me to be catching the present old etonian disease of using diversion tactics to hide the problems which are being highlighted.

=======

Their coalition’s policies are a disaster and the Osborne and Cameron perform another U-turn , the better.

The coalition has lasted longer than I thought it would, but I await the breakup of it and the condemnation of each other by Clegg and Cameron, each blaming each other for the disastrous mess they have made of the governing of this country.

The exchanges will probably be vitriolic and should go down well with some of the electorate.

Especially, BNP. Fauxrage and the tory right wing.

Could be wrong, but I doubt that I will be.

===================

Sleep well. Don’t have any fears, I am not going to peep.
