rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

US jobs data was very weak as a result of which cash DOW dumped 170 points to 17589 - the US markets are closed today, but not sure about monday

my gut tells me that the drop is badly o'done but not sure if i'll dare back it with my wallet

On Monday 6th April an out of hours market will be made in the Euro Stocks 50, France 40, Germany 30 @ UK Indices opening Sun 5th April @ 2300 and throughout Monday 6th April. All other Indices will be closed apart from US Indices and Japan 225 which are open as normal. All Equities will be closed apart from US Equities which are open as usual.

consensus is that these horrid figures are just a nasty blip and the coming months will see a return to job growth .... and possibly earnings too

And oil won't go up , until they get rid of Putin

i confess that oil is likely to stay low longer than i anticipated as i had not reckoned on rapprochment with iran

17654 - so i did at 08:00 this morning :-)) ..... and now out at +139, though still have other longs running at a bit higher

DOW has gone bonkers and is now up 335 .... and i thought i had done well taking profits on a new position about 175 points lower!


FTSE must surely be worth a punt as cash is up a paltry 12 points at 6870 even though both 25+50 dma levels are only slightly above this, so perhaps causing some resistance

I think markets are going to wobble come election time and if Labour wins watch out !!

but get the rhythm right and there's plenty to be made
