rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.
for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ
for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

IG also offers from sunday, but not sure if it's worthwhile as there is no proper market against which to check levels

consensus is that these horrid figures are just a nasty blip and the coming months will see a return to job growth .... and possibly earnings too

DOW has gone bonkers and is now up 335 .... and i thought i had done well taking profits on a new position about 175 points lower!
FTSE must surely be worth a punt as cash is up a paltry 12 points at 6870 even though both 25+50 dma levels are only slightly above this, so perhaps causing some resistance

I'm talkin about those white kids that speak a mixture of cockney and Jamaican and call the police the Fed's but they come from Kingston Upon Thames not Kingston Jamaica where they would crap themselves and run a mile .

an excellent day at the ranch :-)
watch DOW to see if it can crack through 18,000 again
if it manages it, and with some impetus, then it could be onwards to 18,200
keep that greed under a tight rein!
