new millennium resources (NML)

LEEWINK - 28 Mar 2004 15:45

NML is due its interrim results now, last year it was the 28th of this month.

They are setting up a new site to explore/research/analyse and all the equipment to do this should be on site now, and drilling should start soon, all this extra news should be covered in the interims.

does anyone have any further positive views on this company ??

nkirkup - 06 Dec 2005 15:48 - 1769 of 1909

Sp will fall further tomorrow down to nearer the offer price of 0.5p

stockdog - 06 Dec 2005 16:44 - 1770 of 1909

228 million shares at 0.95p (pre-announcement) + 1,000 million shares at 0.50p to be issued, should average out at 1,228 million shares at 0.58p any premium or discount for sentiment towards future prospects.

The fact that it dipped to .55p at one point today and has since recoverd to 0.95p near closing seems to suggest the market quite likes the news on reflection. Perhaps, as nkirkup says above, there will be more "reflection" before we are done!

takahe - why so silent?

stockdog...was out earlier. We'll see what happens next..obviously it is to be hoped that this money is needed for the negotiations. GM regards it as showing that NML are serious deal-makers! I hope he is right!

takahe - 15 Dec 2005 16:20 - 1772 of 1909

Had a brief chat to Gary. SH is back in Perth and supposedly had a really good visit to Angola. Various things still in the melting pot, C9 not lost yet or anything. SH apparently didn't know about Hudson...he asked Gary how he knew and Gary said I sent him the Hudson RNS!Gary claims he already knows someone who wants to buy the pink diamonds from there.
I asked about Kassai and reminded Gary that SH had given a ballpark time of end of November for more news of that. G says that there are still legal things being sorted out and he can't say anything.
Sorry folks..no more.

Andy - 15 Dec 2005 22:30 - 1773 of 1909

takahe,

Thanks for the update.

aldwickk - 16 Dec 2005 08:59 - 1774 of 1909

"SH apparently didn't know about Hudson " nice to know that his up to speed on news, shareholders can sleep well knowing that.

takahe - 16 Dec 2005 16:30 - 1775 of 1909

aldwickk- he was in Angola at the time and not in touch (!) I'm sceptical, but Gary said that SH's mobile phone was as much use in Angola as two tin cans and a piece of string....
Apparently they have arranged to get HUD RNSs direct to them, in future, although I have to say you'd think they'd have thought of that before.

Andy - 17 Dec 2005 00:26 - 1776 of 1909

aldwickk,

That's not the first time he has been oblivious to Hudson news either!

I was talking to a chap from Angola recently, and he told me that the mobile network in the main cities and towns is ok, but obviously in the more remote parts there isn't a network.

I find it hard to believe Shane's mobile doesn't work in Luanda personally, and I'm pretty sure there will be internet access there too.

takahe - 19 Dec 2005 11:13 - 1777 of 1909

I am reporting what I was told. Someone else can ring up GM and get his version. Nor did I say there wasn't internet access. If you are in the right place, there is. Not oout on C9, though! Good thing that you are not a shareholder if NML ,so you don't really have to bother about it.

Andy - 19 Dec 2005 13:20 - 1778 of 1909

Takahe,

I wasn't doubting what you were told, but I would never have swallowed a story that the country doesn't have a mobile network that works! For goodness sake.

Have a search on google, they have multiple networks!

This took me less than 20 seconds to find, for example.

http://www.cellular.co.za/gsm-africa.htm

---------------------------------------------------
Digital Mobile Phone Networks In Africa

[African GSM 900/1800 network operator list]

Country Standard Startup Operator Notes

Angola CDMA800 2001 Unitel Operated by Portugal Telecom, with local partners

Angola AMPS-800 2/94 Angola Telecom Luanda, then nationwide

---------------------------------------------------

As Shane lands in Luanda, his cellphone will work there, as you can see they have a GSM 900/1800 network.

Research is so easy when you try!

Local hotels have internet access, so he COULD have seen the Hudson info had he wished. If I was in his position, I would have been on the web asap after arrival.

"Good thing that you are not a shareholder", well you have that right!

Let's just say that if I hadn't have sold after the shambles of a meeting last year, (which I did) then I would certainly have been out at 4p BID, regardless of what was being said on the BB!

The dangers of BB's is that people believe the rubbish being posted by people that pretend to be in the know, until it's too late of course!

Some poster names seem to be conspicuous by their absense these days, I wonder why?

FILTHY POOR - 19 Dec 2005 13:49 - 1779 of 1909

Andy

Gary said that SH's mobile phone was as much use in Angola as two tin cans and a piece of string....

Just because they have network providers in Angola, does not mean that the coverage is good. Infact, my O2 phone coverage in the UK is pretty crap, and Angola is considerably larger than the UK.

Dynamite - 19 Dec 2005 14:00 - 1780 of 1909

Andy there are lots of us still here but have nothing to say so have not posted recently.
Have a Nice Christmas
Di

Andy - 19 Dec 2005 14:14 - 1781 of 1909

Filthy,

I have an O2 phone too, and I concur, there are some blind spots, (my office for one), but overall I only have to move a few metres to receive a signal.

I was in the Thai jungle, on the Burmese border, miles from anywhere, and I got a signal!

I do not believe Shane's mobile does not work at all in Luanda.

I also do not believe Shane does not have access to the internet whilst in Luanda.

Andy - 19 Dec 2005 14:15 - 1782 of 1909

Di,

Merry Xmas to you both too!

I hope the trading is going well!

Andy - 20 Dec 2005 09:25 - 1783 of 1909

well well well!

The majority of NML's investors are in Malaysia, or the UK, so they hold the AGM in ............Perth, Western Australia!

Absolutely disgraceful IMHO, and after saying it would be in London this year too!

An act of cowardice IMO.

takahe - 20 Dec 2005 11:58 - 1784 of 1909

by 'people that pretend to be in the know'...who do you mean? I sincerely hope that you are not referring to me, here?
As regards Shane's mobile...it is awful in this country, let alone out there. I can't even get Orange coverage where I live!I am not as gullible as you seem to think. Nor do I lie.

takahe - 20 Dec 2005 12:11 - 1785 of 1909

Andy..."I do not believe Shane's mobile does not work at all in Luanda.

I also do not believe Shane does not have access to the internet whilst in Luanda. "

Please do not twist what I said....I did not say his phone didn't work at all nor did I say he didn't have some internet access....

Also, you know perfectly welll that the AGM was in Malaysia last year

Andy - 20 Dec 2005 12:23 - 1786 of 1909

Takahe,

If I meant you, I would say so!

Many people post on the NML thread, more used to, but some have disappeared now!
I wonder why?

Where did I accuse you of being gullible, or being a liar?

Shane is as contactable or not as he chooses, to blame his phone is ridiculous IMO.
Angola has a communications network and he can access that in Luanda and other cities, though not at C9 obviously.

last year's AGM was in Malaysia, and they (Shane actually) said this year in the UK, now it's Western Australia!

I think that is cowardly, peroiod.

if you think otherwise, that's your privelige, as usual we will have to disagree.

takahe - 20 Dec 2005 12:45 - 1787 of 1909

I agree that he should have held the AGM in London this year, if the Board allowed it. Leaves himself open to a lot of criticism...

Andy - 20 Dec 2005 12:52 - 1788 of 1909

takahe,

It certainly does!

Interesting that EPD held their EGM in London, and then their AGM in St. Albans!

The result was that only two people attended!

In fairness I attended the AVM AGM recently, in Central London, and there were only three of us, so it doesn't always follow, but it's more likely to have brokers and analysts if it's in the city.

NML's major backers are in Malaysia, so I suppose they will be disappointed too, although they have far less of a journey should they attend.

Are you, or anyone else from the UK group planning to travel?
