RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

pachandl - 26 Nov 2004 12:24 - 1780 of 2406

Doug - I wish you well in Eqypt. Please note that between 1777 and 1778 mesages, presumably when you became officially "free", the price moved down from 25.5 to 24.25. Obviously the MMs were in fear of their lives and started to panick, as did the whole of the investment community. Could you humour me by putting on the handcuffs until your flight - nothing kinky intended.

Douggie Do you think you would be able to come back from Egypt as a Sphinx rather than a Jinx?

GINGERJIMMO - 26 Nov 2004 17:05 - 1782 of 2406

A few more nice buys of 2.5m and 1m at the close!

scotinvestor - 26 Nov 2004 20:33 - 1785 of 2406

yeah, 1million tade and TWO 2.5 million trades at end. Another high vol of more than 13 million tades today.

This will bounce up again on monday and for rest of week. Heavy support in this now. This is only going 1 way.

parveen1 - 26 Nov 2004 20:52 - 1786 of 2406

The only sticking point i see is the chart resistance at 27p.
Once we break that who knows where we will end up :)

Good luck !!! all yee RTD holders

Press mention : in today's (Saturday's) Independent Newspaper.

Vague takeover rumours pushed Retail Decisions 0.5p higher to 24.25p in brisk trade. The software specialist has been a great performer over the past six weeks. Its shares have nearly doubled.

PS. Still in with my purchase at 19.38 pence few weeks ago.

pachandl - 27 Nov 2004 10:54 - 1788 of 2406

Just to mention that the HL Penny Share Prophet (Dec) reiterates a buy for RTD (at 20p) saying that it trades at 30% discount to its peers. Every recommendation is worth something.

Looks like we should all be adding Monday

oh sh*t - not the takeover rumour again! would much prefer this to enter the tm100 and then the fundamental value come thru - if the rumours start again so will the pump and dump

overgrowth - 28 Nov 2004 01:19 - 1791 of 2406

"Vague takeover rumours" translated, means "I haven't a clue why the share price is going up so quickly, but I've noticed a big buyer snapping up shares therefore it MUST be a predator stakebuilding. Unfortunately, I haven't heard a single rumour about this so...I know...I'll refer to it as a vague rumour". lol!

What a complete load of b/s !

A predator would have started accumulating shares when they were much cheaper, because they will have been planning an approach and watching RTD's performance for some time. They would have bought big chunks immediately after the trading statement.

What is happening is obviously institutional buy-in before entry to the TM100. What you do is identify a highly outperforming "target" to enter the index, see if the dust settles and causes a substantial price fall after a sudden rise on recent good news - if not, then wait for stability at the top of the most recent rise and then accumulate. A large buy-in will increase the market cap. so much that the company will zoom straight into the index. After which you sit back and await the expected further good news from the company and all the tracker funds to buy in.

Douggie - 28 Nov 2004 17:05 - 1792 of 2406

this is my last look 'till 07/12.

where will it be by then (contrary to popular belief here) the usual when I return from holiday is I am much worse off!

with so much volatility at the moment it's a bet I would't wish to take.

So with everything xxxxx'ed I will hope the the trend has changed and ALL you good folk are very much better off.

:o))... D.
