Vasey
Where have you been lately? Are you hanging around on some other board somewhere?

Is it right to drink VC from a stein?

vasey - 05 Aug 2003 22:55 - 1787 of 23498

I've been lurking here, but I do visit ADVFN occasionally. But they don't have VC or you!

I think I'll have a tall flute for my champagne please!

Socrates - 05 Aug 2003 23:17 - 1788 of 23498

A tall flute it is Vasey. Would you prefer the Venetian Glass or the Waterford Crystal?

I have not seen many posts from you recently, are you interested in many threads or are you lurking like me. I am trying to identify my next target but there always seems to be something that puts me off. I have decided to try to come up with a numerical assessment, a sort of quality value analysis, to overcome my irrational feelings. If the sum of the assessment comes to over a preset target then I invest, if less I do not invest. Sounds simple but getting started is not so easy.

Refill?

Socrates - 05 Aug 2003 23:36 - 1789 of 23498

It's hot, damned hot. So I'm off to bed.

hilary - 06 Aug 2003 08:56 - 1795 of 23498

When did you change your name, Jeffmack?

little willie - 06 Aug 2003 10:02 - 1796 of 23498

Wonder whar jgp212 Jeff was doing at 00.39am, perhaps he tuned into the wrong channel, wonder what he was searching for......hope he found her.
Morning Jeffers or should we call you Moxy? Also 'vary interesting' nice day here.
Trust you won't mention the war or that your father was a photographer over there; if you already have then don't let em know he was taking snaps from the belly of a Lancaster bomber.
Also don't forget they do EVERYTHING by numbers and "you vill do every ving they vant as they have vays of making you talk".
Watch out for frauliens with der big boobies. MARK my vords, your in the euro now!
Hilly, have you changed your name?
Ah well the market looks crap so will mosey down to Clubhouse in preparation for knocking the hell out of the little white ball; its golf competition day.
Have a great day all...lw

jeffmack - 06 Aug 2003 11:35 - 1797 of 23498

HI LW
As always very good advice, war not mentioned yet but might do tonight. Frauliens very nice, from the neck down....

This_is_me - 06 Aug 2003 19:32 - 1798 of 23498

Now we know why old socks changed his name from lightning - he didn't want the blame for all the power cuts.

Energie Schnitte, welche Energie schneidet?

Blitzen

little woman - 07 Aug 2003 09:58 - 1800 of 23498

Hi all, it's been a while since I dropped in!

The sun has finally broken through and I need a long cold drink - any chance of some non alcoholic punch, or some old fashion lemonade made from real lemons, water and a touch of sugar!?

Working from home today. I wish I could work from home more often, then again, I wish I didn't have to work at all!

vasey - 07 Aug 2003 10:11 - 1801 of 23498

Socks, I thought Blitzen was one of Santa's reindeer.

Nice jug of Pimms No.1 chilling in the fridge, guys. Should be perfect by midday. Cucumber sandwiches are on the top shelf.

hilary - 07 Aug 2003 10:22 - 1802 of 23498

lol vasey. And Donna was the other one. My kids love that film, Dudley Moore was absolutely brilliant, imo.

little willie - 07 Aug 2003 16:09 - 1803 of 23498

lol Hils, wasn't that the "I feel love" girl, was around in the 'Summer'?
Dudley Moore- hell of a pianist.... 10" I'm told*....lw

*whoops, sorry about that.

Socrates - 07 Aug 2003 16:55 - 1804 of 23498

Good evening all.

Hilary
I thought Donna was a Kebab?

lw
Is that "real" lemonade, has it actually got lemons in it? I'll have a gallon of it, iced.

Portfolio in the blue again today, not by much but any advance is great. Just want to find out what Wiggins are up to now!

little woman - 07 Aug 2003 17:07 - 1805 of 23498

Socs, it's "real" lemonade with lemons.

I also do a very good home made icecream with double cream & egg yolks as a base, fav. addition is grapefruit juice (from real grapefruits) and the only thing fake is the strawberry jelly for colour, sweetness & to set it! Whole thing takes about 2 hours, including freezing and it ready to eat.....
