Hils
Sorry to hear that, no doubt you will get it back next week. Was the forex?

DD
A bit of carp fishing. 3 rods, 3 reels, 3 buzzers all the same. Sit back and read a good book.

Socrates - 05 Nov 2004 17:13 - 17870 of 23498

Hello, is there anybody there? I see there has been a lot of posts today, some quite amazing. The thought of Jeff checking his tackle is more than one can bear (or should that be bare)?

Firework night for me is a batten down the hatches and turn off the lights night. One's moggy does not like it at all. Despite having a temperament akin to Atilla the Hun, he is chicken hearted and requires a little TLC every Nov 5th.

optomistic - 05 Nov 2004 19:36 - 17871 of 23498

Socs must have gone ages ago so I'll have a Guiness and look after the place for awhile. Nice selection of sandwhiches in the fridge, thanks Bunny.

Socrates - 05 Nov 2004 19:58 - 17872 of 23498

Hi Opto, I'm still here but lurking in the background. Just popping in to see if anyone has strolled in for a bevvy. Mucho noisio outside with whizzbangs a plenty.

I'm having tea and bickies.

Funny old day for my portfolio, very odd movements but ended up up, as it were.

optomistic - 05 Nov 2004 20:04 - 17873 of 23498

Likewise Socs, just up on the day. Disappointing that we didn't follow yesterdays Dow.
I think most are out around the annual rubbish burn. Excellent for the enviroment don't you think?

chocolat - 05 Nov 2004 20:10 - 17874 of 23498

Kitten's gone bananas here - she just decapitated some flowers..the fact that she got near them in the first place was quite a feat!

jeffmack - 05 Nov 2004 20:13 - 17875 of 23498

choccs
Try strapping the kitty to a rocket

optomistic - 05 Nov 2004 20:14 - 17876 of 23498

I hope you are not frightened Choccie.

optomistic - 05 Nov 2004 20:15 - 17877 of 23498

Oh Jeffy!!!!! that's not nice.

daves dazzlers - 05 Nov 2004 20:15 - 17878 of 23498

chocolat - 05 Nov 2004 20:17 - 17879 of 23498

I already did, jeffie - she went bananas cos I ran out of rockets..

chocolat - 05 Nov 2004 20:20 - 17880 of 23498

I'll be ok, opto - just going round to the neighbours to see if they have any catherine wheels.

optomistic - 05 Nov 2004 20:22 - 17881 of 23498

Don't hang on when they start moving Choccie, have a nice evening, I'm going offline now.

Socrates - 05 Nov 2004 20:29 - 17882 of 23498

I know a Catherine and when she is near a set of wheels, just watch out. Maniac doesn't come into it!

chocolat - 05 Nov 2004 20:32 - 17883 of 23498

Now that the kitten's busy whizzing, how about some trifle?

Kayak - 05 Nov 2004 21:14 - 17884 of 23498

Reminds me of the time I went with a plumber to a tenant's flat. I asked him to make sure he didn't let the kittens out, and what did he do? He opened the flat door wide and wedged the door of the block open too. Result, one kitten, who had never been out of the flat before, now missing. Had to spend the next hour looking for the blinking thing after chastising the plumber. Unfortunately never found it, called the very upset girl who had previously owned a kitten, and endured a ten-minute non-stop ear-lashing.

When was that?

Oh yes, that was this afternoon. What great timing, on bonfire night :-(

Wondering whether I'll dare ring tomorrow to enquire if she found it!

Socrates - 05 Nov 2004 21:16 - 17885 of 23498

Canoe
Normally the kittens come home when they get a bit peckish.

Chocs
I'm all for the trifle, your bath or mine?
