ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooosh

Spaceman - 20 Aug 2007 08:00 - 17900 of 24230

Morning from a very wet and dull Norfolk, its rained for most of the last 24 hours here and is still raining ....

Socrates - 20 Aug 2007 08:32 - 17901 of 24230

Hello Spacie. Never fear, the Norfolk Mountain Rescue Team are on standby in case you need help.

stockbunny - 20 Aug 2007 08:42 - 17902 of 24230

Morning all - not much better closer to home Spacie - October-ish in Middx :>(
Croissants and danish have arrived!

Spaceman - 20 Aug 2007 08:44 - 17903 of 24230

Socs, they will have a huge hill to climb to rescue me ;-)

My house stands at the top of an 18 foot hill, I dont think they will have the experience needed to scale that !

Spaceman - 20 Aug 2007 08:44 - 17904 of 24230

Bunny, I should have predicted the rain, I am on leave this week !!

stockbunny - 20 Aug 2007 08:54 - 17905 of 24230

Oh so its all your fault Spacie! Suppose you washed your car as well?
;>)

Socrates - 20 Aug 2007 09:16 - 17906 of 24230

Spacie
They have their own ladder. It was presented to them by a retiring member who was a window cleaner who was scared of heights.

Socrates - 20 Aug 2007 12:48 - 17907 of 24230

Food needed!

jeffmack - 20 Aug 2007 13:56 - 17908 of 24230

Food is for wimps. Thought you ex RAF types were made of sturner stuff. Much more and wont fit in the cockpit. (must be a joke there)

Socrates - 20 Aug 2007 14:10 - 17909 of 24230

OK, so I'm a wimp. I like my food and never failed to climb into a cockpit when necessary. Must admit there was not a lot of room in most of them to do what was necessary, anyone who has not hung upside down in a Lightning cockpit hasn't lived.

jeffmack - 20 Aug 2007 14:21 - 17910 of 24230

you forgot the "Over and out"

Socrates - 20 Aug 2007 16:40 - 17911 of 24230

Roger

Spaceman - 20 Aug 2007 17:16 - 17912 of 24230

"anyone who has not hung upside down in a Lightning cockpit hasn't lived" I have never done that but it would be a fantastic thing to do, its still possible in South Africa and when I win the lottery it will be high on my list of must do's.

Socs, have you flown any other fast jets? probably none as fast (or noisy) as the lightning ....

Socrates - 20 Aug 2007 23:41 - 17913 of 24230

I never said I'd flown in a Lightning. The Lightning was the right way up and it was me that was upside down. It was the only way to get at some of the cockpit wiring.

I've flown in a Vulcan as a bit of self loading freight, impressive but not business class by any stretch of the imagination.

stockbunny - 21 Aug 2007 07:45 - 17914 of 24230

Morning folks, I can say with total honesty I have never hung upside down in a cock pit LOL
Morning all tea's ready :>)

Spaceman - 21 Aug 2007 08:17 - 17915 of 24230

I have hung upside down in a cockpit but it wasnt in a very interesting aircraft and it didnt have enough power ;-)

Morning all from a wet windy and very dull Norfolk... I better cheer myself with a mug of tea and a warm danish.

KEAYDIAN - 21 Aug 2007 08:18 - 17916 of 24230

I'm always upside down, tee-hee.

Tea please.

stockbunny - 21 Aug 2007 08:31 - 17917 of 24230

Would you like a straw with that Keaydian or are you going to sit upright to drink it?
;>)
Danish and tea for Spacie, still grey and uninspiring here in Middx....

Bluelady - 21 Aug 2007 08:47 - 17918 of 24230

Good morning everyone,

Stockbunny, more likely one of those toddler proof cups which do not drip when held up side down ;0).
