Afternoon.

Just enough online time left to say "Hi!" from Kristiansund, Norway.

What a one-horse s**t hole this is...........and I've seen a few in my life.

Oh well, time for a 5 beer!

;-)

Socrates - 06 Nov 2004 14:54 - 17909 of 23498

Big Al
You must have found the cheapest beer in Norway! How's the fish, I seem to remember it figures large on their diet? I was a bit north of you, in Bodo, but that was a lot of years ago.

Golddog
Me and "her indoors" still have the same broom we bought when we got married, it's done very well and only had two new handles and four new heads.

Kayak - 06 Nov 2004 15:09 - 17911 of 23498

Can she still fly on it?

Socrates - 06 Nov 2004 15:21 - 17912 of 23498

Grounded, couldn't pass the CAA medical.

chocolat - 06 Nov 2004 20:39 - 17913 of 23498

Just popped in to leave you lot a half case of fizz bang wallop for Tuesday...have a good week, gang.

...and, err, don't do anything I wouldn't.
:)

Kayak - 06 Nov 2004 20:54 - 17914 of 23498

Good news on the kitten. It came home this morning.

Rather terse conversation with the tenant though. Better leave it a bit before visiting or I'll be turned into cat food.

STORMCALLER - 06 Nov 2004 20:57 - 17915 of 23498

chocolat,
What a kind thought.....er one for the road?...lol

little willie - 06 Nov 2004 21:49 - 17916 of 23498

Stormie..perhaps your 'one for the road' could apply to Kayaks kitten.

Bed for me, night night..

STORMCALLER - 06 Nov 2004 21:52 - 17917 of 23498

lw,
I think Kayak has suffered enough, though it seems to have turned out well, thankfully!
Oh, and goodnight.

Socrates - 06 Nov 2004 22:03 - 17918 of 23498

Good evening all. The sounds of explosions and whizz bangs seem to have died down now so I suppose the war is over until next November.

Sad about the train crash, I do hope the casualty figures are not too high. I especially feel for those people who were on their way home from work and will face the prospect of catching a train to work again Monday morning. Somewhat nervous situation I can imagine.

STORMCALLER - 06 Nov 2004 22:13 - 17919 of 23498

Socs,
Good evening, still plenty of noise here, probably for another couple of hours, despite poor weather. Bad news indeed about the accident, although fortunately rare, they always involve so many people.

optomistic - 06 Nov 2004 22:33 - 17920 of 23498

Evening both, very quiet here too, this is a first! perhaps the new law has had effect and the local lads are finding it not so much fun setting their massive thuds off in their own back garden rather than in weelie bins, exhaust pipes, bus shelters and so on. Any fizz left? could do with a glass or two.

STORMCALLER - 06 Nov 2004 22:37 - 17921 of 23498

Evening opto,
I think I could be persuaded to crack a bottle and share it...cheers

optomistic - 06 Nov 2004 22:41 - 17922 of 23498

Cheers Stormy, looks like the Rooms have been deserted tonight. Choccie away and not a murmer from the rest of the girls. Must be roasting somewhere.

STORMCALLER - 06 Nov 2004 22:48 - 17923 of 23498

opto,
It has been quiet most of the day, weather not really the best to encourage party atmosphere though.

STORMCALLER - 06 Nov 2004 23:13 - 17924 of 23498

Golddog,

You have message!

This_is_me - 07 Nov 2004 00:14 - 17925 of 23498

Jeff

If you want better bait try bird's eyes - they seem to catch all the fish.

STORMCALLER - 07 Nov 2004 01:43 - 17926 of 23498

oops! look at the time
Gotta blow.
goodnight
SC

little willie - 07 Nov 2004 09:02 - 17927 of 23498

Good morning world from a very hot and sunny SA where there's barely a breath of wind [not true says mrs.lw!], no humidity, golf course is quiet.

Yesterday had a wonderful days racing at Kenilworth, C/Town; monetary v.good thanks to our trainer Glen Cotzen.

What shall I do today?
Read the Cape Argus me'thinks and a nice cup of dajeeling then a 'dip' in the pool [78 degrees], maybe a relaxing snooze and dream of Proteome Science returning to a couple of quid.

Then down to our newly built house and do a bit of cleaning in preparation for the marble acid sealers and cleaners this week.

Back for another 'dip',a glass or three of this years Villiera Sauvignon Blanc
[vineyard just down the drag] shower and ready for a trip to the Grand Roche Amphitheatre tonight to listen to a string quartet playing different stuff ie rock, pop, popular classics.

IT'S A BLOODY HARD LIFE

Hows it all hanging in dear old Blighty ?
