It was the Paddington Plymouth line near to Newbury. A car apparently on a half barrier crossing hit by the train which was travelling at high speed. As you say, too early to identify why it happened.

Must go out now, back later for a late lunch.

Thanks Socs, checked it out on Telegraph.com, rail accidents are a little to frequent for my liking; flying appears much safer, strange when you think about the mechanics/aerodynamics involved.

Antiques fairs...buying, selling, valuing or just mooching?

Actually did some Xmas shopping today, bought my new brother-in-law a horse racing set and my Dad a Tank. One of these days i will grow up!

Had to take a daughter for a 'flu jab this morning; yes she is old enough (11). They are doing all the children who have asthma as well as the old and feeble. Any of you had a 'flu jab?!
