It was the Paddington Plymouth line near to Newbury. A car apparently on a half barrier crossing hit by the train which was travelling at high speed. As you say, too early to identify why it happened.

Must go out now, back later for a late lunch.

Good afternoon all. Just returned from a good mooch around Cheltenham and Malvern antique fairs. Managed to come away without remortgaging the house, I call that a good result.

Had to take a daughter for a 'flu jab this morning; yes she is old enough (11). They are doing all the children who have asthma as well as the old and feeble. Any of you had a 'flu jab?!
