NML is due its interrim results now, last year it was the 28th of this month.
They are setting up a new site to explore/research/analyse and all the equipment to do this should be on site now, and drilling should start soon, all this extra news should be covered in the interims.
does anyone have any further positive views on this company ??

aimtrader - ' I had hoped people would at least reduce their holding,' ? how on earth would you know what people are holding...or care, for that matter?

takahe,
Maybe he just reads the threads like the rest of us?
Just by reading over the road I know roughly what most people hold. and over Xmas some posted their losses too.
I think he posts as aimtrader.com over there.

He must have a very good long-term memory then because
most holders haven't even posted for ages. I am in touch with a group of
about 20 of them by email and I know what some of them hold
but I can't see how you would know what people are holding.
Some have added at the low price, a few have reduced but generally,
people do not necessarily feel obliged to tell the world of ADVFN when
they are adding or reducing holdings. The only people I saw mention
their losses recently were rachubb and hookie...but they still hold...and hookie
has not posted his present holding

takahe,
I have an excellent long term memory, and remember what people have posted on NML (and other stocks), and I know some NML holders too, maybe some not on your email list!.
He may have even copied some posts from the thread at the time?
In the past, some have posted their holdings, and when thay have added, and now some are posting monetary losses, which give a clue to their position size IMO.
In the past people have done exactly that, post their holdings, hence people comment because the person concerned freely put it into the public domain in the first place!

Andy...copied posts from the thread? Why on earth would he be interested in doing that?
I agree that in the past, a lot of people commented when they had added and some mentioned their holdings but I don't think many people do now. Even my husband doesn't know my holdings on NML !
Quite a number of people have averaged down but certainly do not advertise their present holdings.
It is of no consequence anyway, because it is their own private business.

takahe,
"Even my husband doesn't know my holdings on NML ! "
Maybe a wise move at the moment.
"It is of no consequence anyway, because it is their own private business. "
So that's why they put their trades on the BB is it?

Andy...lol...he knows approximately! He also knows what the the state of play is...
Just because people mention their trades sometimes, doesn't mean that they always do. I certainly don't now, although I have done in the past.I also hardly ever visit certain BBs although I hold shares eg BP, BUR
I wouldn't dream of asking what peoples' holdings are...but I have been amazed at what some people have told me that they do hold, assuming, of course, that they are telling the truth.
I am just not interested in what other people hold, hence I find it unlikely that aimtrader has copied peoples' holdings. He must be pretty bored to do that!

takahe,
Indeed, some people tell the BB they are buying when they are actually selling!
I personally don't mind if people know whether I hold a stock or not, I very rarely reveal my position size, and certainly not normally on a bb.
You'd be surprised what people copy from the BB!
I knew a guy that copied all the posts from one particular thread, divided by posters!
And another had a whole thread saved!
Strange places bb's.

aldwickk...I should explain that my husband is the typical absent-minded scientist and does know what our various holdings are, really, but in the same way as he is pushed to remember the ages of the children, he would not be able to give an accurate answer if asked!

Andy... I can't imagine why anyone in their right mind keeps copies of threads..although I suspect Anom does. He certainly trots out a load of old stuff. I do keep some interesting emails and I do have a file of posts which I consider to be libellous to Company directors...but BBs are mostly rubbish, anyway.
Have you entered the MW's 'tip of the year ' competition?

No I don't subscribe to MW's site.

I don't either..but a friend of mine did and he was amused to see, as an NML holder , that NML was one of the suggestions put forward!
Have a good New Year, everyone...

NML suspended. But would Healy be going on TV on Monday if it was all bad news ?

We know it's bad news - we're just questioning his judgement yet again!

Stockdog,
Well I agree with Takahe, surely he wouldn't be doing a TV slot unless he had something positive to say?
On the otherhand, the actual RNS maybe casts some doubt on that, or am I the only one to think this could be a negative?
MY guess(and it's only that) is that they couldn't raise all the funds, but would welcome any informed opinions!

RNS suggests to me a possible last minute failure to get the new funders over the line. SH going on TV is not well judged, since he can't say much that is price sensitive - maybe more hubris than helpful.
Hope for everything - expect nothing!

morning stockdog...I rang the Nomad's office yesterday. It seemed peopled by cretins.
Call 1. I asked what Rule 40 was ..and the young guy said why was I asking about that...I told him that's what it said in the RNS. He said..there is no Rule 40.I asked him why the suspension? He said that NML had asked for the suspension because they are aware of something that is price-sensitive information and that there should be another announcement soon.
I then looked up Google to find there is a rule 40. (I could see why he was confused..although he should know these things) because the first set of regs I looked up DID go from 39-41.
Call 2..got a different person who said they weren't allowed to talk to PI's. AT that , I'm afraid my nastiest voice took over and I said that their number was the one investors had been given for 'further information' and that I had been told on my previous call that there was no Rule 40 and how incompetant were they that they didn't know what was in the RNS and they didn't know the rules? He was then rescued by the previous git who said there was no need to sound so angry!
I know that Anomalous has made a complaint to the regulator (again) about NML and mentioned that. He sounded confused and said that he didn't deal with NML (small mercies, there, I think!) and that the person who did was 'sorting it out'.
I then asked if his earlier assertion about the PSI stood and he said he didn't say that. I said that he had, and that I was most unimpressed with their office generally and rang off.
Bottom line...no idea!
As regards to the funds, they have already stated that they have raised the funds.
The new shares came to the market on the 14th Dec.

takahe,
Upon reflection I believe the suspension is due to NML not informing the market who took up the placing shares, as some must surely have exceeded the 5% level, and were therefore declarable.
Presumably they have had to suspend whilst they sort out who owns what, and declare via RNS.
Perhaps another example of the NOMAD not knowing his ass from his elbow!
Shane would have been booked on the TV slot before this was known, so no connection to the suspension, IMO.
If on the otherhand, the suspension is down to positive news, (which I currently don't think it is)then they would have to RNS before Shane does the TV slot at lunchtime.
