Thanks Ian.

In a way, I'm not surprised that the system automatically truncates long posts. The full html table (before being truncated) contains 107,495 characters including spaces. This compares to 11,906 characters in the header post of this thread.

When I post the calander, I cut and paste parts of the relevant web page into MS Word, save it as a web page and then copy the source into this thread. Is there a different html editor that I could use which wouldn't create such a long post perhaps?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 29 Jun 2004 08:22 - 1799 of 11056

Hil,

I am not sure about a different HTML editor, this is something Geoff may be able to help with - I will speak with him when he is in the office.

Jusr dropped in to see what the FX punters are up to. You lot don't rabbit much! ;-))

hilary - 29 Jun 2004 11:20 - 1801 of 11056

I think it's only me in here talking to myself, Big Al.

:o)

Been long the Dollar this morning but closed it out a bit too prematurely and before the high on account of how I had a late night last night and I've got a bit of a thick head this morning. I doubt I'll trade it again today now, although the Euro looks like it's just become a buy against the Dollar. If it slips back a touch I might be tempted.

Sue 42 - 29 Jun 2004 11:22 - 1802 of 11056

I'm here - i was short & now I'm long cable

IanT(MoneyAM) - 29 Jun 2004 11:24 - 1803 of 11056

Hil,

Can you send me that HTML for the table you put up here I will get someone with more of a technical brain than myself to take a look at it. Jonathan isn't in today but will be back tomorrow, but I thought we could take a look in the meantime.

Thanks

Ian

Big Al - 29 Jun 2004 11:29 - 1804 of 11056

Aha!

Just keeping an eye on things. I guess 25pts from the FED is unlikely to make much difference to anything. Priced in?

hilary - 29 Jun 2004 11:29 - 1805 of 11056

No problem Ian.

Al,

I've sent you an internal (figure of speech). Let me know if you don't receive it.

Big Al - 29 Jun 2004 11:47 - 1806 of 11056

Got it Hil. Will fire off something in a bit - need to sort a couple of things.

Beeblebrox - 29 Jun 2004 12:25 - 1807 of 11056

i'm jelous - she never writes to me........

hey big al - what you got that i haven't....on second
thoughts, don't answer that....

not around much today, so my posting will be a trifle intermittent,
but just thought you'd like to know i've gone long cable at a
pretty number 181.99

hilary - 29 Jun 2004 12:58 - 1808 of 11056

Beebs,

I'm sorry sweetie .... I hadn't realised that you wanted me to write to you. Anyway, don't be jealous as it wasn't anything important. It was only a detailed analysis of my intraday FX trading strategy.

If you ask Big Al nicely, I'm sure he'll forward it you with my permission. I'd forward it myself but I can't remember what it says.

:o)

Big Al - 29 Jun 2004 13:10 - 1809 of 11056

BB

Thought I'd answer it anyway, but it shouldn't really require explanation. These things are more often than not self-evident! LOL 'Nuff said.

Can't believe it - just bought a ruddy house!!!

Big Al - 29 Jun 2004 15:14 - 1810 of 11056

Hil - mail sent.

foale - 29 Jun 2004 16:54 - 1811 of 11056

Moving home...back soon

hilary - 30 Jun 2004 08:53 - 1812 of 11056

Looks like we might have a little retracement coming. Could open up a window to sell the Dollar against the Europeans. Imo of course.

hodgins - 30 Jun 2004 18:37 - 1813 of 11056

Anyone playing?
Quite a feisty day for the pound with 150 points from the bottom to the top.
I wonder if it can get and stay above 18150?

Beeblebrox - 30 Jun 2004 18:48 - 1814 of 11056

not playing, but watching hodgins,

have just gone long ftse,4460

and if they push the cable down below 180.20 ish
i'll probably have a dabble. unlikely, i know,
but these yanks do get very excitable.......

i see a rosy future for cable over the next few weeks,
just need to get this .25% increase absorbed..........

hilary - 01 Jul 2004 13:47 - 1815 of 11056

Doesn't look like the market knows what to do after the Fed. Whipsawed on both longs and shorts today. Giving it one last go for today with some Dollar shorts in the hope of finding some Va Va Voom.

MightyMicro - 01 Jul 2004 15:55 - 1816 of 11056

Ahem. Beggin' your pardon, Miss, but the U.S. interest rate is now 1.25%.

(Now I suppose I'm going to get a dig about updating it automatically . . . :))

D.

hilary - 01 Jul 2004 16:07 - 1817 of 11056

I thought that your rocket scientists were on the case Derek.

:o)

What a tedious day on the fx!!
