Choose a sector you know about and specialise in companies within that sector.

best of the 4 ? pretty sure its a good sign when the sp breaks through all of the lines and Armor has done just that.
D1 is just off doing that and if you read correctly i did state long term so your graph is not really much help apart from showing that the sp has bottomed begun a recovery - a great time to buy.
As for GTL and VLR - both are seriously undervalued and have sound businesses - but as your a chartist you probably ignore the actual business and think wow that line looks good - buy buy buy. Try posting something a little more meaningful.
And for the share guy why are you advising him to ask a financial advisor? If he's got 100k to invest then he's obviously well off, and as he's posting on here probably has plenty of free time he should be investing in what he wants and learning, not being a bloody bore and shifting his money to someone else to play with.

As others have already stated, don't take tips from a BB or magazine without doing your own homework.
Look at the tips given on specific shares on this thread and investigating them yourself will confirm that advice.
Again, stay away from smaller company shares where a small number of rampers can move the share price, swallow up your 100000 and move on, leaving you unhappy. Invest or gamble slowly, every day check to see whether if you didn't hold a share that day you would buy it. If the answere is no, SELL IT !!! SELL IT""
The dealing costs and Stamp duty are peanuts in comparison to what you may lose by holding a dog. I know from my experiences. Be smart and learn from other people's experience.
