That's what they always tell me ;-(

Ever thought of becoming a market maker? :-)

Ruth - 21 Apr 2005 11:56 - 19 of 550

Well ive just gone for shit or bust:-)
suppose someone with some insider info on a tiddler stock will win,:-)
why not split into categories, ie ftse 350 and a seperate one for smallcaps

Dil - 21 Apr 2005 12:05 - 20 of 550

Like if someone buys 50K of MPM ?

:-)

Ruth - 21 Apr 2005 12:07 - 21 of 550

Dil:-)

Kyoto - 21 Apr 2005 12:08 - 22 of 550

That's a good idea Ruth - this is the problem with these competitions. It sends out a very dodgy message to inexperienced investors who read results in the media, and think that the secret to success is stuffing 100K into some dodgy hyped-up shell company because it trebled in 3 months.

Dil - 21 Apr 2005 12:09 - 23 of 550

You got them too or something else ?

And before anyone asks ... I have no insider info and thats the story I'm sticking too :-)

Ruth - 21 Apr 2005 12:13 - 24 of 550

Koyto thats why they have set up the competition to get new dumb money into this market.

:-)

but i would not realy think this myself.

Ruth - 21 Apr 2005 12:14 - 25 of 550

as you can see, there were no swear words in that last post, so it wasnt from me:-)

Shogun is sat with me on the other computer which is logged in under my name , and as ever hes the cynical one:-)

shogun - 21 Apr 2005 12:16 - 26 of 550

its got nothing to do with me.

Ruth - 21 Apr 2005 12:17 - 27 of 550

cant you tell this market is slowwwww:-)

my pics are already performing dismilly, but its a marathon not a sprint:-)

STORMCALLER - 21 Apr 2005 12:17 - 28 of 550

shogun,
Are you thus impugning the ladies honour...?, in that she told an untruth

Maggot - 21 Apr 2005 12:23 - 29 of 550

Well, that gets me out of a hole, having accidentally sold 80,000 of ANTO, although they were nearly in profit!!!

Ruth - 21 Apr 2005 12:27 - 30 of 550

Stormie, hes gone all shy now:-)

well im second in list , and Dil is last:-)
Dil, see what happens when you listen to crap tips,

Think ive been mugged, ive had to pay stamp duty, thats not on is it, and wheres my leverage:-)

Dil - 21 Apr 2005 12:36 - 31 of 550

Yeah but I haven't had my pick ramped by the papers yet ... ask Bullie about the first ADVFN competition where Billam went from 1p to 2p in a week and I won the case of Champagne :-)

STORMCALLER - 21 Apr 2005 12:39 - 32 of 550

Ruth,
You got all the leverage you need..:-))

Ruth - 21 Apr 2005 12:43 - 33 of 550

Stormie;-)

Ruth - 21 Apr 2005 12:44 - 34 of 550

Dil:-)

Ruth - 21 Apr 2005 12:59 - 35 of 550

The boys versus girls table is already looking interesting

Maggot - 21 Apr 2005 13:05 - 36 of 550

Why am I not in the league table, having just (re)placed my first two long trades?

Priscilla - 21 Apr 2005 13:08 - 37 of 550

Just had a quick look at the compulsory information you have to put in but it doesn't say who gets access to that information and I couldn't see a box saying 'tick here if you don't want your personal details shared amongst anyone we think might like to sell you something'. I'm trying to avoid even more unsolicited emails, not attract more of 'em!

It also doesn't mean you have to tell the truth, does it?
