Qxl in the news again, do they do any useful work? Each time I look the shares are down. Investing in them is like buying ice in a bucket - No, it's worse! the bucket has its uses..

up again, it must be a Bid; as nothing raises this dullard like a bid. So it seems.
To break-even after the 2003 consolidation, I need close on 35/share. Is that too much to expect when "Ebay" is on everyone's lips?
I thought QXL would be a UK- alternative - can it be that difficult, can it?

another 27% up - just shows the earlier Bid was painfully low - but worth a try as Management don't seem to be especially capable. (cue sp graph!)
This new deal "could" mean shareholders seeing 20/share so not that far off my 35 buy-price considering all the twists and turns a wrong-'un makes between birth and death. Many more punters bought at far higher prices, but maybe sold-out to "experience" long ago.
What were they doing in Poland, anyway. Get your home-market sorted out then worry about expansion, chaps. The site is a mess and whilst people talk of Ebay (and ads on tv) I never hear of QXL - so there is something seriously wrong with that on the advertising/promotion side.

Looks like all the bids are played out - yet there is one organisation building a stake - (good!).
What QXL needed was a fresh supply of Mangement about 4 years ago - and a little more attention to getting the UK auction sorted out. Pople spend hours ( days?) on Ebay (and QXL never gets a mention).

I'm a lone-voice on this co. but I think we should see some improvement in sp now that some larger players are circling.....although why they would buy a web-site just to re-vamp it beats me......maybe QXL has a list of customers going back several years and this might have some value.

Of course with dullards at the helm, QXL could sink into obscurity. And you know what? No-one would really care. (Apart from the Directors that have been taking fes for very little effort,). All IMHO!

Why such a steep rise, and rising every day, other boards predicting higher prices than at current levels,a bit risky though.

Yes i have been watching this move since 5!! Not a holder.
Ateeq180 I don't think there are many shares around so it is very illiquid and moves on anything

People are reluctant to pay above 40 pound to buy this stock,i am sure some one knows something as the price has surged by nearly 7 pounds now,its nice to see the movement north if you are a holder, any way good luck to all holders and for the brave people holding this.

The present chart for PCM looks like the bad old days at QXL; as they are in a similar line of business, might there be a repeat for PCM in their China operations?

Anyone know the reason for this one being up today?

"pretax earnings were down to 442,000 in the first quarter ending June 30th, from 1.663m a year before"
Sitting right on a major support level. A fall from here may see quite a drop.

And it looks like the drop has started.
