Desire Petroleum - one to watch. (DES)

oily1 - 09 Feb 2004 12:03

Desire Petroleum are presently shooting 3-D seismic in Falkland's waters. Estimated oil reserves are put at 60 billion barrels. www.desireplc.co.uk for more information.

thepitbull - 02 Mar 2004 07:32 - 18 of 54

this RNS doesn't really say anything - to me it smacks of just putting out an RNS for the sake of it.

markymar - 02 Mar 2004 10:51 - 19 of 54

To me it says that the initial thought of upto 110 billion barrels of oil out is looking likly. Why come out with the statment like that unless they are very confident. They are ENCOURAGED what is in front of them and its a clear sign to buy these shares and which i dipped my toe in again to buy some more now its just the wait for 4 months befor data is processed and there might be news in the finals, last year were in April but they have untill june if they want to.

I dont want to miss the boat on this one ? Do you

robstuff - 16 Mar 2004 14:39 - 20 of 54

They know there's a massive oil field - it's just getting the confidence of backers to drill for it and hence the need for quality seismic data. Once they have the proof, the Big Boys will be falling over themselves to get a piece of the action and Desire shares will rocket.. just wait...

nice to meet others watching this stock. I bought a few at 11p - so watching with interest.

oily1 - 29 Mar 2004 09:28 - 25 of 54

Wish I'd bought more from the recent Offer now ! Anyhow, onwards and upwards.

robstuff - 29 Mar 2004 09:47 - 26 of 54

these have been over 5quid last time they had a rig out there, now interest is serious and these could as you say markymar - blow! soon

jeffmack - 29 Mar 2004 10:29 - 27 of 54

Morning Vasey
What do your reckon, out at 20p

vasey - 29 Mar 2004 10:34 - 28 of 54

Hmm...not sure on that one, jeff. 19p is certainly the next resistance area. Maybe it will charge through with the next pause 1.50. (Well, I can dream!)

oily1 - 29 Mar 2004 11:06 - 29 of 54

A lot of interest today.
Does anyone have level 2 information please ? How many mm's are on the bid/offer ? Who's the house broker, by the way ?

vasey - 29 Mar 2004 11:22 - 30 of 54

oily, four MMs, all currently agreed 14 and 15.5. Same for both sides, top to bottom shows EVO, SCAP, WINS, KBCS

tofur - 29 Mar 2004 11:31 - 31 of 54

vasey-u r not dreaming if they do find what they r looking for i am looking at 8+ go on laugh as much as u can.

vasey - 29 Mar 2004 11:38 - 32 of 54

tofur....I am smiling, not laughing. Certainly 8+ not impossible and Cairn has produced spectacular returns for their investors. I thought the recent RNS was positive and who knows.....?

markymar - 29 Mar 2004 13:36 - 33 of 54
