i was wondering if anyone out there had any strong views? this company appears to be delivering and has just turned EBITA positive after a great trading statement last week. seems like upside to +200p once results are out.

any comments or thoughts would be appreciated.

trading at 100p

Chrispine - 20 Dec 2004 16:15 - 181 of 602

I'm going to have to wait & see if the price dips tomorrow.

proptrade - 20 Dec 2004 16:24 - 182 of 602

i have to say that ordinarily i would agree with you but these are clearly in play and the momentum may carry it further if there is news or if another provider is sniffing around. i do understand waiting though, it is a hell of a rise today!

My buy at 78p looking good all of a sudden ! Not worth worrying about getting in a few pennies lower imo, look long term, in a years time a few pence will mean nought.

exactly. there is definately something happening and has all precipitated from the wholesale product they announced last week. this staock has seriously been rerated.

Chrispine - 20 Dec 2004 16:37 - 185 of 602

What a strong finish today.. first thing tomorrow & I'm in. I should really warn you that it appears that I have the kiss of death.. so far I have been responsible for the fall of HNR, BFC, PET, AFE & CDN.. haha.. sorry if I do the same with ESY.. understand if you want me to stay well away & let you guys have a 'Blue Sky' Christmas.

Chris, we trade on fundamentals here and from the bulk of your holdings it is unlikely that ESY will find a dry well!

seawallwalker - 21 Dec 2004 08:12 - 187 of 602

Looks like an early kiss of death this morning!

That, or profit taking!

capa - 21 Dec 2004 08:24 - 188 of 602

Good chance to buy being offered imo.

Probably right capa.

My first comment was directed at Chrispine.

Looks like the gift horse has been taken away already.

Bloody hell.. kiss of death or what. I jumped in at 104.3 early this morning.. went & made tea only to see red.. I should have waited for the dip..ah well at least we are back at the level post & waiting for the profit takers to go about their business. Pleased to be in these & so thanks for the tip Prop.

who knows how large the contract is but my understanding from the company if that the big pitches will be in jan/feb. i believe this contract awarded was surprisingly early even for the company. trading update in jan should add meat.

company has been clearly rerated and a few contract wins against BT could easily see ESY skip back to the 150-200p range.

just one mans humble opinion....

joehargan1 - 23 Dec 2004 09:37 - 195 of 602

it will skip back up again today and agree that 150 not an unrasonable mid term target.

proptrade - 23 Dec 2004 10:48 - 196 of 602

i am hearing positive noises in the market. after the hefty drop due to the now complete seller there is no overhang to keep these lower. i have also been watching the trades over the last few days and i would hazzard a guess that the fact that we have not seen a retracement after such a hefty rise would indicate that the buyers are far from complete.

my hand on heart call is 125p at least by or just after the jan trading statement.

merry xmas!

capa - 23 Dec 2004 15:17 - 197 of 602

35% gain in three months for me, well chuffed.

Stll cheap imo and it would seem sentiment has turned which should see us get back to 1.30 to 1.50 next year.

Merry xmas proptrade, well done for keeping the thread going over the "difficult" period.

happy xmas

TRADING; looking to get a consortium together to develop prop trading company ideally in surrey kent area, have been working in city futures options side planning to relocate out. interest?. perhaps initial communications can be through this link until response/contacts can be taken further. in working with prop trading company this has given me ideas, but would be seeking team to progress. potentially geared to equity trading.
