new millennium resources (NML)

LEEWINK - 28 Mar 2004 15:45

NML is due its interrim results now, last year it was the 28th of this month.

They are setting up a new site to explore/research/analyse and all the equipment to do this should be on site now, and drilling should start soon, all this extra news should be covered in the interims.

does anyone have any further positive views on this company ??

Andy - 12 Feb 2005 00:17 - 180 of 1909

tristan,

Ok cheers, I thought there was a new BB for a minute there!

Does anyone have any knowledge of the accuracy of the radio show's predictions in previous years? (I know past perfomance is no indicator, but just a question)

Also, do they have a panel of experts, and if so, do we know their names?

Tristan - 13 Feb 2005 13:13 - 181 of 1909

Andy, unfortunately I have not heard the show and am therefore not the most reliable of sources. To the best of my knowledge I think it is just one supposed 'share guru' called Malcolm Stacey. As above, the DGM board is worth a look as a couple of listeners there. Recent post by goldfinger shows this years predictions already up by a considerable % including a small rise by nml. Although I would not base any kind of investement strategy on the words on a single 'guru'it is interesting to see nml included in a public portfolio even if it is purely speculative!

aldwickk - 13 Feb 2005 15:52 - 182 of 1909

Andy.

I think you know Malcolm Stacey and he's books on investing, on Sharecrazy BB.

Andy - 13 Feb 2005 18:49 - 183 of 1909

aldwick,

Yes of course, didn't recognise the name to start with!

aldwick,

Ok I have checked on Sharecrazy, and found the thread.

What actually happened was that Malcolm requested other posters to pick shares, and NML was proposed by a poster called "Maytrees", not Malcolm himself.

Having read the post by Maytrees, I personally think it was quite light on information about NML, no disprespect to him intended.

IMHO his argument could have been applied to any of the diamond juniors.

Andy

just looking back at earlier posts. You indicate that the new equipment will be uses to extend the research and sampling stage. In contrast, the RNS (2oth Jan) states that production is to start by end Feb. - now it may be that the rains problem prevents that but it seems that you have it wroing in terms of the sequence of activities. There would not appear to be any problem in the two proceeding in parallel. The equipment shipped in would appear to be primarily to support the production phase. I can understand the negative attitude from previous track record, but this does seem to be excessively negative when production is forecast to give $20M contribution from proven resources. If FDI are ahead in production terms, why are the figures not in their results? Its not that I am negative in terms of FDI - see my contribution on the FDI bb; I blieeve both shares are BUYs but that NML will be the greater x-bagger as predicted by my friend and soul-mate Dynamite (apologies for the presumption, Di).

That's ok Eric...I take it as a compliment and when we have made out fortune we should meet up for dinner to celebrate. It is these underated and potentailly explosive shares that are going to make it for us. Y00 at least 4X this year. SEO 10X, KMR 4X, NML well that could be 10 or 20X this year. Happy Valentine's Eric :-) Ps I bought back my seo shares and some extra ones as the price was lower.
Di

EWRobson - 14 Feb 2005 13:02 - 187 of 1909

Well done, Di. Would never have risked selling any SEO's - if you sell 'em, who is buying them and would you trust them with them (if you see what I mean)? That sound a great way to celebrate. Happy Valentine's! :0)

Eric...I hope Mrs R got you something nice for being such a superstar... Mr D had a huge bouquet of Orchids and chocs delivered with a message to be ready when he got home for a romantic dinner out!

EWRobson - 14 Feb 2005 13:20 - 189 of 1909

Di: Didn't quite match that, although the card was well received and our favourite restaurant, the Place at Camber Sands, is booked for this evening. I make a fresh selection every time we go there but it is always Dover Sole!

Dynamite - 14 Feb 2005 13:25 - 190 of 1909

Well what else would you have in Rye Eric....Dover Sole is very expensive in Essexand not often on the menu.

aldwickk - 14 Feb 2005 13:28 - 191 of 1909

Hello, Mr Robinson Jesus loves you more then you know o o o, LOL.

EWRobson - 14 Feb 2005 13:29 - 192 of 1909

Another reason for visiting Rye! What else does Essex have other than girls?! - don't intend any offense, but couldn't resist it: what else would a man want on Valentine's Day, anyway!

aldwickk - 14 Feb 2005 13:31 - 193 of 1909

Sorry about that Eric got a bit bored.

EWRobson - 14 Feb 2005 13:50 - 194 of 1909

Interesting, aldwick: I expect Jesus loves the Robson's too although they were formerly border rustlers and nobody else loves us!

Andy - 14 Feb 2005 23:57 - 195 of 1909

Eric,

Nice post and you raise some good points.

With regard to the recent machinery exported to Angola, I was always under the impression this was for production, rather than exploration.

I raised the issue of production and exploration carrying on simultaneously as a positive comment on the ADVFN bb some time ago, and was told this can't be done for fear of cross contamination of samples. This was not corrected, so presumably that is acurate, and therefore exploration will have to continue and complete before they are able to exploit.

According to a poster with access to the annual rainfall totals for the area, the WORST month for rainfall is March, and then April is similar to February, so am not sure why NML have announced they will commence in March, "weather permitting" when it does look unlikely.

IMHO we really need an update from the company, and I feel this is now overdue.

You are correct in that I feel the current (as well as previous) mangement have failed to deliver on specific promises, but I am flexible, and once I see an improvement, I will change my view.

Angolan diamonds are high quality, and as such NML COULD be a good investment, but I fear another dilution if there are any further delays, so am watching and waiting.

Hope you had a nice evening!

EWRobson - 16 Feb 2005 21:47 - 196 of 1909

Andy

'Cross contamination of samples' sounds a bit esoteric. Heaven's sake, we are talking about earth movers which don't get disinfected! However it does seem to make sense to get production really under way first: just a matter of focusing attention. Don't see anything on the website to clarify the situation. May need patience if production can't get under way properly until April/May, although there should be time for some real production by end June, including the proving of the prospect, as they have to do. Its tuck them away for a few months I think. Cash seems OK. Yeah! Was a great meal at The Place, Camber Sands: thought I would change from Dover Sole, so had...Dover Sole! Can't resist them! Wife liked the flowers too though not quite up to Di's orchids!

NML is on the move this morning for the first time in ages. The sells at 5p are actually buys which is why the price has moved up. Perhaps the rain has stopped ;-)

And it is not even March yet.
