None of this adds up.
I dont get how the exclusivity can be up (the 2 month extension, that is) WITHOUT any deals being signed. The extension was to run FROM commercialisation of the first machine (see todays posts above).
Commercialisation surely means when a deal has been signed - it isn't commercial until then. If the extension of exclusivity is up, a commercial deal must have been signed at least 2 months ago and if it had we would have been told.
I wont waste my time challenging ssanebs on this because when I challenged him on an earlier post he defended his claims by totally ignoring me!
But it stinks, if you ask me.

At a market cap. of just 52m surely one of SEO's competitors must regard their IP library worth acquiring - or is it necessary to conclude that their IP is not as good as the company has led us to believe it is? Still a shareholder but very disillusioned with the calibre of the mgt., with the exception of the chairman who has always been very cautious about the comments made by his board at AGM's.

i have just called seo to speak to wagner but he flew to the US yesterday, Balchin is working from home but i told sylvia i had already spoke to him and he was not clear on his answers. As i said he told me "yes exclusivity is over but we are not talking to any other companies and our relationship with asda is the same, so you can read between the lines'' . can someone tell me what he was trying to say. i assumed he was tryiung to say there is no need to extend the agreement as they are not talking to other customers as asda are going to order soon,as the last trials have now been completed.

I thought that we were all hoping that other supermarket/suppliers would be forming an orderly queue the moment the Asda exclusivity period finished.

I thought we were told in past RNSs that SEO were talking to customers across UK, US and Europe but now Balchin says no other customers! Inconsistent t--t. Something stinks here, as does the directors not buying shares, the interims statement and T & G not providing an update despite sp being half of what they said buy at.
Debated whether it was worth giving 1 of the non exec directors a call such as Elizabeth Filkin to get their comment on the current position.
Ever got the feeling you've been shafted?

The exclusivity has been extended by 12 months, it's on the stanelco website now.

Thanks Angusrjy,
From the site
Stanelco is pleased to announce that the exclusive agreement between ASDA and Stanelco for Stanelcos GreenSeal technology has been extended for a further 12 months. The exclusivity of the agreement will be waived after the first machine has been installed in an ASDA pack house, which will allow Stanelco to then offer GreenSeal to non exclusive ASDA sites.
OK now looks better than no news, as obviously things must be progressing nicely, if not as fast as we all hoped.
Let's hope that the first machine re the installing in an ASDA pack house, is just round the corner. How long is now what matters.

And I was just about to post another rant about SEO's poor communications and performance, oh well another few months of anticipation and waiting, at least we know ASDA are still serious, I've just bought back in although not as much this time on this news (I must be a sucker for punishment), fingers crossed.

How do you account for your post earlier today, ssanebs? 'spoke to ian balchin yesterday, who confirmed that the exclusivity has ended'
Someone was telling porkies - Balchin or ssanebs?

Now for the good news.
The exclusivity with Asda is extended.
Now for the bad news.
The exclusivity with Asda is extended.
You can read this anyway you want, but I am going to go down the line of exclusivity always having been an unforseen problem. As someone pointed out some time ago, a packaging line must run continously to be cost effective so how does a packager run greenseal on a line for Asda use only.
Solution; Put the line in an Asda exclusive packager (such as one of their own).
Fairly happy with the news on balance, but it is another delay and still no 's.

Is this, in effect, an ending of the exclusivity period?
'The exclusivity of the agreement will be waived after the first machine has been installed in an ASDA pack house'
Where's the exclusivity here? Once the first machine is installed, the second machine could be installed for Sainsbury's, Tesco or whoever (subject to trials, of course!).

Exclusivity - no mention of a new deal on their Website stanelco.co.uk accessed through the link immediatly above the posts above. However it is there on stanelcoplc.com.
Reading this it seems ASDA can stop its competitors taking up Greenseal just by not buying one for itself ! Double whammy looser? Cant sell elsewhere and not selling to ASDA?
Oh dear - my poor brain cannot keep up with all this confusion.

should this not be an RNS?
so as soon as they implement one machine in an Asda exclusive pack house they can then offer Greenseal to others where Asda does not have exclusivity?

Clear as pig shit again, what a f-----n shambles. Sounds like they have had this half wit comment to their website just to attempt to shut up some investors.
Why no RNS this time.
18 months now and they still haven't managed to install a machine in a pack house.
When do they think the the 1st machine be up and running.
When will the 200 machines be planned in.
Can the machines run continuously for more than 8 hours
When the 1st machine is installed is that the end of ASDA exclusivity and if so which other companies, if any, do they anticipate lining up.
How fast is Greenseal vs heat sealing.
What other issues are there with G/S (clearly there are some)
What is the latest position with Mondini and other line manufacturers.
This really looks like Greenseal is a long long way off or dead.
If the 1st machine is installed tomorrow then ASDA won't get exclusivity. The fact that they have said this indicates its close to or beyond another 12 months before the 1st machine is converted.
Having ramped SEO to the hilt over the last 18 months Balchin and co. have now got some very serious questions to answer.
