THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

I remember being woken up by my Dad at I think 11pm or later in a foreign country in front of a small black and white tv....for a piece of history....now if the human race goes on to become like something from the Star-Trek series...than that is a monumental moment in time when mankind set down on another (moon-planet)......it is incredible when you think that computers did not exist so the effort by the people who went about putting a man on the moon (for peace reasons, not for war or the military...one must not forget that this was at at a time when the USA was deeply involved with Vietnam and the cold war with Russia....) is enormous......I will never forget that moment of walking into that room with the flickering on the screen from another planet a few minutes before landing !....so Neil Armstrong : rest in peace....
