Dowgate Capital (DGT) are sitting
in the middle of a goldmine!
This company through
their sole trading arm City Financial Associates are looking to take full
advantage of the "booming" AIM market this year.
Dowgate provide NOMAD (NOMinated ADvisor) services to AIM companies
and also have full Corporate Broker status which means that they can fund
placements on behalf of the companies they represent.
|
|
On first sight, the
fact that Dowgate exist in the often veiled financial services sector
makes you think twice about investing in company such as this because
it would be impossible to understand what they were doing - however, think
again!
DGT bring new companies
to the AIM (Alternative Investment Market). For each new company "floated"
on AIM, they take arrangement fees when acting as NOMAD. After the company
is launched then for a nice steady earner DGT get another healthy chunk
of cash every year for looking after them (note that all AIM companies
must have a nominated adviser - thereby securing a ready source of recurring
income).
Because DGT also act
as a Corporate broker they can get a very healthy percentage for arranging
placement of shares with insititutions before a new company floats. In
addition, because placements come outside the sphere of yearly NOMAD work,
they can also gain healthy percentages of placements which companies may
need to make throughout the year when they need a quick injection of cash
to speed growth.
Current NOMADships:
28 companies represented (gives recurring income of approx 480,000
per year)
Current on-going Brokerage
agreements: 19 companies (income depends on placements)
For flotations, depending
on the size of a company, fees charged will be anything from 50,000
to 100,000+
For placements (the real earner), DGT get anything from 3% to around 12%
of the TOTAL AMOUNT RAISED - For example a new company raising 3M
though a placement will earn DGT anything from 90,000 to 360,000
!
These figures are indicative as actual deals all differ due to circumstances
and DGT sometimes take payment in shares - they still have a tasty chunk
of Setstone shares and when this Russian exploration company comes back
to AIM, predictions are that the share price will rocket.
Note that the amount that this little company can earn in fees is huge
and every new deal that comes through we know will contribute another
healthy chunk into the bottom line. The good news with every new floatation
means that it's another chunk of recurring revenue which could go on for
years, with DGT having to do very little.
New clients gained in 2005 are:
Mediazest

this is just an opinion
butane old cfa supporter
see ur still full of s upport for cfa opps dgt soz name change
well butane old chap im not one to hang about but as the post indicates prior to urs i had these shares for some time under a better name i might add
yes u are right i did lose out on these big time but not for your reason
for reasons that were out of the share holders hands in my opinion
i seem to remember the md at the time selling his shares around the same time an old employee sold his remember(which in my honest opinion had a slight effect on share price)
or maybe you have forgotten
that would explain the attack mode u always put forward when answering my posts imho(maybe the obvious hurts to much)
and on the contary im not hurting myself when i come and look at this share i come for morbid amusement
as ive said before if this little number flys(big big if as the market has been flying without it so far imho) it will prove to me that i did not buy a turkey and can feel suitable smug for my first decission
but if as my opinion leads me this share will still be around this number for a while im glad to let you and your fellow supporters deluide themselves while i go and make money
as i said the ramping on hear is of the finest quality seen in christian world imho
but enough of this bantor i need to haste off as my indicators are telling me there are bargains to be had allas not here
just an opinion mind
oh butane old m8 i have a crimbo message for u to be sung as if you are in the grounds of a football team

im not one to hang about
Lol
Deadfred. the stench of you still hanging on to this thread is overpowering.
You lost thousands and more again when they flew again this year, just as they will next year.
This share frustrates all holders, one of which you have not been for a full year now and yet you still cant let go can you.
As you lay dying your old CFP certificates will have to ripped from your clenched knarled hand.
Merry christmas anyhow you old lOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOser.
LOL

Well deadfred,
regarding your own phrase .... "maybe the obvious hurts too much"...is more true in your case........as stevie pointed out, you potentially lost much more than your original stake.
BTW...sym not too good at the moment......down?

Apologies to all regarding my posts ref' dead/sym.........the point being that deadfred only comes on here when DGT is down (but not out!) to gloat at those of us still in, but what goes around comes around ....hence 'sym' which is currently taking a beating.....but i'm not one to gloat...lol

i sometimes wonder if ordinary ppl can use dealers who pos as thread posters to manipulate a share just by mentioning it
roflmao
mind u im not saying that there are any share dealers in this post or anyother but i just wonder
it would be a good way to help someone with limited know how in shares to use reverse sychology just to prove a point
if there are any dealers or even dealers friends on here thx
oh butane i bought a few of sym at around 5p
so im not to bothered
and i dont think directors will be jumping ship
as a few have bought a little amount(there is a hint there butane me boy)of shares in recent days
reverse sychology now i wonder who would be that clever not many on here i bet
no offence ment to the ordinary punter whos just trying to make a few quid
and butane old m8 as ive told u before i have made me losses back and some

For those who can't get the earlier trades this morning because of
the outage dgt are up 0.04 which is 9.2%
2 x trades of 500,000 buys plus the 649,000 which is a delayed buy
top 3 riser
Looking positive this morning.

A little comment on Growth business web site
For Liam Murray, a corporate financier at CFA Capital, another attraction is that they offer a fast track route to joining a public market. Says Murray, a conventional flotation will take at least three months and usually around six. But if you reverse into a shell you can actually complete in a month provided, of course, everything falls into place. This is a crucial advantage as it means that a chief executive will have to spend less time with advisers and more time doing what he is paid to do, namely, driving his company forward.

Snakey
I think we have more chance of it snowing for the rest of the year than DGT
paying a dividend. I will be glad to get my money back let alone a dividend.
According to the web site though 2005 has been quite a busy year and a slight tick up this morning.I think the sp is very low at the moment.
