THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

I thought the EU was going to bring peace to Europe , maybe it could if there wasn't uncontrolled immigration

_62531953_khan.jpgSitcom Citizen Khan prompts 185 complaints to the BBC

The BBC has been accused of stereotyping Muslims in its new sitcom, Citizen Khan.

greekman - 30 Aug 2012 07:17 - 18062 of 81564

Typical, they said the same about the 1980's sit com 'Love thy neighbour' with Alf Garnett being the most bigoted person on TV since Gillian Duffy (that bigoted Woman) questioned Gordon Brown on immigration.

Shows like these tend to show their main characters more as idiots than bigoted people.
When Alf Garnett was spouting his stuff, it had a huge white and none white following in the area I lived in, with many fans of the show both black and white, having a good laugh when it was mentioned in the local factories and shops.
Still I suppose the PC brigade on both sides will win the day.

As for such comments, its about time people accepted that discussion on immigration is the only thing that might save this country sinking beneath the ever increasing population, although I think too little is being done, far too late.

BBC should value British culture. Australian prime minister made everything clear for fundamentalists.

Re - 'who in there right mind would move to the uk'?
The answer is quite obvious, all who want a free ride on the back of the hardworking British tax-payer, they are coming in in their droves. Until the government put policies in place to restrict the inflow then this island of ours will fall apart, the money, the infrastructure and the tolerance of the 'normal' Brit is near to breaking point. There is a huge sense of injustice and unfairness at the way the government and councils are throwing so much of the taxpayers money on them.

Well said George.

A well known Muslim Cleric (name defeats me) once said that the best method of a Muslim takeover of the world was not by violence but by population takeover by percentages of birth.
At the present birth rate indigenous British will be in the minority in the UK by 2050, and possibly earlier.
And to those who I have Squelched, yes I know you will post 'Who do I mean by indigenous'.
I and most on here know what I mean.

ahoj - 30 Aug 2012 10:08 - 18068 of 81564

Yes, in a couple of years, the statistics will take over everything. We need a prime mister with big balls as big as hers!!!

Australian PM talks straight to the point and has interest of her people in long run, not internal or external politics.

If muslims or any other religious groups want to stay here they welcome, but should keep their religion at home... if they do not like it give back their passports and GO BACK to where they are happy.

If your root's go back to Angol-Saxon , there is one poster on here who think's that makes you a non British/English immigrant . The poster who think's anyone who question's mass immigration is a member of the BNP or UKIP

quarter of babies born in hospital in England and Wales has a foreign mother - and it's costing the NHS a fortune

•The 25.5% rate revealed today is a record, with London leading the way with 56.7% of new mums from outside the UK

•Most came from Poland, India and Pakistan with a total of 184,000 children born in these circumstances in NHS hospitals
•Newham in London has a rate of 77%, the lowest levels were in the north-east
•Net immigration also at more than 200,000, official figures show

ahoj - 30 Aug 2012 13:17 - 18072 of 81564

Some may have come here for free delivery, save money, and laught at us. hehehe

Our NHS looks after anyone who enters this country. We, the tax payer, are paying for the whole world... nice isn't it!!! And our government is proud of that.

greekman - 30 Aug 2012 13:56 - 18073 of 81564

Ahoj,

As you say, our government is proud of that, IE giving our money way.
Yet when it comes to their money, I wonder how many voters know that the HMRC have a dedicated section that deals with Taxes and Expenses paid by our Honourable (sic) members of Parliament and that those members have far more generous rules and regulations that the rest of us, especially where expenses are concerned.
Of course at DC is always ready to state, 'We are all in this together'.
Of course the other parties are just as bad.

Those who believe that the UK governments are not corrupt, are living in dream land.
I admit our governments are nowhere near as corrupt as many countries, but they are corrupt all the same.
Perhaps a good old fashioned revolution is called for.

Anyone know where a good second hand Guillotine can be found.

TANKER - 30 Aug 2012 14:03 - 18074 of 81564

never run down the french they have balls .
smashing those caravans was a great act

Plenty here Greek! :-)

greekman - 30 Aug 2012 14:14 - 18076 of 81564

Hi Skinny,

Lol.

Not big enough as the one I would want is one that could do several heads at the same time.
After all, the government is 'on an efficiency drive'.

Cuts, I'd give them bloody cuts!

Stan - 30 Aug 2012 14:43 - 18077 of 81564

So the question is why do you lot still keep on voting for these party's then?

greekman - 30 Aug 2012 15:20 - 18078 of 81564

I voted Conservative last time, but only because I wanted the Labour shower out.
I thought that no party could be as bad, but this coalition of 'all talk no action' is allowing things to plod along in the previous governments fashion.
It's a sad state of affairs when we have to vote by process of who is going to be the worse for the country instead of who is going to be the best.

I know many say that if you don't vote, its a vote wasted, but I can no longer bring myself to vote for who I judge to be the least worse party.

I would vote UKIP but as yet they do not field a candidate in my area.
I'm not saying they would be less corrupt than the others, but at least their main policy commitment is to get us out of this EU club of even bigger corrupt officials.

2517GEORGE - 30 Aug 2012 15:28 - 18079 of 81564

Stan, it's not the voters who need to change, the democratic process is fine, but until a government in waiting of whatever persuasion is forced to uphold their election promises, then unfortunately we will get more of the same. It seems to matter not one jolt to the elected MP's that having been voted in, it is then alright to renege on their promises. Electioneering is just a Liar's Charter.
