I've doubled my short. Now I'm back at the desk I can follow more closely and sentiment is very poor. I'm not so sure about 50p but I would never rule it out. Just to think of a good name, Cable and Wireless in the dotcom boom when all the analysts saying it would double from 6 to 12.... what happened, it was lucky to survive. Not comparing the two stocks just sentiment and the trend being your friend.

I still have one of my shorts. The price has dropped rapidly so a rise of 50p+ should be easy if this is a recovery. I suspect it will just be sold into and this volality will remain for a few months. I'd like to see a double or triple bottom first to indicate a base has been formed.

hello my children .... trust not too much bickering while i was cycling around Burgundy ...... though i rather lost touch with things while i was away, i am happy to find very much to my surpsise that my porfolio has increased in value in my absense; must be a moral there somewhere!

anyway, the big winner was of course the short on SOLA, which i was fortunate enough to shut off at 208 just after it started bouncing yesterday evening ...... i tried to BUY at auction at 215 was outbid at 217 .... shame, even if it was just something of a greedy punt.

what now? ..... with sp now at 240 (a notional earlier and failed support) i really don't know, and i shall now have to get back into rhythm so i can call it totally wrong!
