ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

Thanks Kivver: I'll have a look at suggestions. I am taking quite a risky strategy in principle. Started with 10K in a CFD fund on 1st Feb split between AZM, ASC and SEO. SEO seems set to join the other's uptrend and the fund is up 4.6K, using margin to top up holdings. Its a bold strategy and depends on catching an uptrend; and the spread does spread the risk. Great to see the loyal ones are sharing the fun!

Talking about low tables, Honey has smashed two wine glasses in the last couple of days with her tail. Wouldn't have minded so much but it was a first class Jacobs Creek Grenache Shiraz! She has no discrimination.
ASC paused for breath. Heady times this week with DGT and AZM so expecting action next week please. How about a progress report on trading. Last time I looked the traffic was pretty good and the site is now first class; had to register to visit which is sensible but asked for no brochures, not wanting to appear kinky. I notice they do not have a section for dogs which is a major oversight, don't you think!

Interesting that it has paused horizontally with no retracement whilst there were 177k in sizeable sells to 5k piddling buys today. Seems like MMs are happy to take on stock - before the next leg up (sorry about the doggy talk)?

Another good increase in stake by Fidelity. Those guys have a great deal of sense haveing a similar stake, also increasing in AZM. They clearly reckon that ASC is good value at current price. Soon we will be into another trading year so that mention of 'next year's pe' will refer to 2007, not 2006. Confident of a release shortly after year end in early April and perhaps that's more likely than one in March. Suspect that sp may start moving again later in the month.
So bury this one, sd, sniff some new ones out and this will be even more juicy when you dig it up again!

A few sells going through 1 of 10k and 1 of 20k otherwise minor PI's. 2 buys only. Overall very low volume, although we've dropped back 5% on pretty much average volume since Monday's peak of 105p.
Mr and Mrs David Harrold reduced their holding by 10% from 2.2m to 2 m on Tuesday - doesn't seem like a major factor, simply a bit of profit taking at a good price or for who knows what purpose - perhaps a bit of CGT management pre-year end? Still a major investment for two individuals to maintain.
111k options exercised by staff today - they must be happy to take the stock - perhaps it was one or two of them that sold the 10k and/or 20k in the market to pay for the tax on a larger allocation.
On balance MMs made a protective minor mark down against some profit taking after the recent good rise paused for thought. I don't think a tree-shake, since the selling has been in tandem with the drop off, not lagging behind it.
Thoughts from the bof required, please.

Now that's what I call having your finger on the pulse. It's only taken you two weeks to come up with that gem dil. What was it, a word a day?

I think Dil suspected that Wales would be humbled by Italy. The level of humility only exceeded by England's performance against France, except perhaps Newcastle again Man U.
Suspect your right, sd, that CGT time is coming upon us; selling was slight but buyers holding off for the time being. I closed a CFD myself with a decent profit but that was tactical, not for any lack of confidence. Not sure what the B stands for: boring? bright? bastardly? brimful? Must be Ok if epithet also applied to you.

Daily reach has turned up and is about the same level as NEXT. Probably the spring catalogue. I think the impact of the enforced registation on visiting the site is very positive; received a mailing myself this week: unfortunately young men's fashions rather than pretty girls. Should have said that I was called Erica, my anima! Share seems quiet and stable; little volatile money in, rather good wound investors (like me, and, of course, stockdog).

Welcome back SD; you do well to overshadow sd. Pretty sure that there will be a preliminary statement early April; ASOS tend not to keep you waiting, particularly as the news should be pretty good. Its a bit difficult to say what the market is expecting. sp has been pretty stable for a while and I think there is little hot money in the share.

SD: The piece in Shares last week was entitled 'Retailers suffering from winter's chill'. Brent of KBC Peel Hunt emphasised that 'retailers with newer routes to market, such as on-line specialists like Ideal Shopping are still trading well.' This 21st century trend bodes well for ASOS too. 'Chief executive Nick Robertson confirmed to Shares that trading was 'very strong'.' Piece by John Marshall who implies that he sees shares as cheap despite their high relative rating. I am hoping that the results will bring in another tranche of investors. After all, the projected pe measure then takes in another year.

It's a bit of a relief to come back to this thread after all the excitement on CHP and KMR today.
Saw AZY (?) got a good mention in Money Week in an article about Biotechs last Friday.

Some of us live contentedly in a dull old world - heart can't cope with excitement. AZM moves at a nice slow pace: taking a three year view; mind, probably a 10-bagger in that time! Suspect ASC will only be a 3-bagger, though DGT and SEO could be 5-baggers! Sweet dreams!

Quite likely end of year profit taking for CGT purposes. Next year the third doubling year in a row?
