William Hills. They win every bloody sporting event!!
The world Cup was a victory for sensible refereeing, wonderful leadership from FIFA and sportsmanship.........................not.
What about the cricket though? proper game played by proper men.
i got my teeth chipped and a mega fat lip on Saturday, and did I roll around the pitch in fits of agony???
Well, yes I did, actually. But I wasn't trying to get anyone sent off!!

Erm, I don't know if I should mention this, it might be seen as going off thread now, but it concerns SEO! ;o) I have just noticed that the front page of their website no longer has a mention of the ASDA extension; I have emailed them asking if it is by design or accident, will let you know if I receive a reply.
Alan, I hope you have dental insurance!

Thanks Kim.
Now no mention of ASDA being involved with SEO, except in past RNS's. According to what was contained in them , together with statements at the AGM, the exclusivity extension period should now have run its course, and there is nothing in writing open to public inspection to suggest anything different.
Have ASDA walked away ? If so, shouldn't there have been a RNS?
My last 2 emails to SEO went unanswered. If yours does too, Kim, I think we have to start to worry.
Sorry, I cant remember, but are you a shareholder still and have you written to them as a shareholder?

Hi Oblo, Yes I am still a holder but the shares are in a nominee name. I have had replies in the past from SEO and they do appear to have taken in what I have said (not much, by the way!). ASDA are still mentioned in the product history on the Geenseal site. Optimistically, perhaps the site is about to updated with news of a deal!!

Oblo,
There would definitely have to be an RNS if ASDA had walked away especially as SEO in their last update re Greenseal from their Web Site stated, "Stanelco is pleased to announce that the exclusive agreement between ASDA and Stanelco for Stanelcos GreenSeal technology has been extended for a further 12 months".
They would be in serious trouble under Stock Market rules if it was found out that any ASDA/SEO link had been severed and it leaked out unofficially. I for one would be making an official complaint, and I am sure that I would be one of many. I doubt they would be able to prevent such a leek. But like most. I find it strange that it can no longer be found on their site. I also find it strange that they did not release it under an AFX info bulletin at the time, as they have similar news in the past. If their R&D department was as poor as their PR equivalent, none of their products would have made it past the drawing board.

Did anybody cut and paste the exact wording on the web site regarding the extension of the Greenseal exclusivity deal with ASDA last week. If so, could you please post it as I intend to analyse every word of it and then ask a host of questions about what precisely they were hoping convey to shareholders and other visitors to the site including a detailed explanation as why the announcement has since been removed.

Oilywag,
Yes I did, but only the bit I felt relevant. See above (posted same time as your last posting) so posts crossed. There was a full cut/paste on another site, can't remember which but will trawl when I have more time if no-one else comes up with it.
Cheers Greek.

Thanks greekman, you provided what I was asking for before my post was made.
I think that this company has great products, but am fast coming to the conclusion that new management is urgently required before they really screw it up.

If you follow the Stanelco web link under Drivers research page I think you will see that the comments re the "new" ASDA exclusivity period is still present.

Does anyone here still keep in contact with PM1? If so, maybe one of you could could ask HIM to enlighten us what exactly is going on behind the scenes - as Paul always claimed to have good contacts within Stanelco?
I am no longer holding, as you know. But still keeping a watchful eye out for any signs of an update...

I posted it on FYB and ADVFN - just copied it back
From the SEO website, freshly put on today:-
Stanelco is pleased to announce that the exclusive agreement between ASDA and Stanelco for Stanelcos GreenSeal technology has been extended for a further 12 months. The exclusivity of the agreement will be waived after the first machine has been installed in an ASDA pack house, which will allow Stanelco to then offer GreenSeal to non exclusive ASDA sites.

Here it is. Copied this posting dated 27.7.06 at 23.00ish by garyble on FYB.
"Stanelco is pleased to announce that the exclusive agreement between ASDA and Stanelco for Stanelcos GreenSeal technology has been extended for a further 12 months. The exclusivity of the agreement will be waived after the first machine has been installed in an ASDA pack house, which will allow Stanelco to then offer GreenSeal to non exclusive ASDA sites."
It is interesting to note the wording ...
"Stanelco is pleased to announce .... Now why would they say that on their own website? Shouldn't they preferably say "We are pleased to announce ...." Its as though they were speaking in the third person which is what you would expect them to say in an official RNS. Anyone agree?
Another point, before I pick the announcement to pieces, is that it should have been dated. For anyone visiting the site for the first time, they would not know when the extension applied from. Another example of sloppy PR.
The fact that the exclusivity is going to be waived after the first installation of a machine, says to me that neither party expects this installation to happen very soon. It also says to me, that they are experiencing problems with the machines that neither party wishes to own up to.
Stanelco, because it contradicts what was said at the AGM and ASDA because it leaves egg all over their faces for putting their weight behind something that is taking so long to get off the ground. Remember it was ASDA that was supposed to have said they expected a few hundred machines to be installed within 12 months.
Lets face it, if either party were really confident that a machine would be commercially installed in real factory conditions very quickly, they would not have had to agree to the 12 month extension. Of course, there is the counter argument to this situation which says that they agreed to that statement on SEO's website to keep ASDA's competitors at bay for the forseeable future. But ASDA's competitors are unlikely to be visiting the website on a daily basis and, therefore, they would not see it.
And if that was their intention, why has the announcement on their website been withdrawn after only four days?
Can anyone else detect the chaos and panic in North Road Southampton and also think that they are very close to a fish shop?

Oblomov
when I go through the link at the top of the page the ASDA info is present (after refreshing) but when I access the "Stanelco" site by an alternative route the ASDA info has gone.
