battling with 1.82, upside break?

Enjoyed the sun today!
Trailing stop from Friday on long hit around 3PM. Long again from around 1.8275 (via spreadbet) an hour or so ago.
Natural pullback today and targeting about 1.8480 on further upside?

Short myself.

GBP/USD

Looking to 1.8000 level.

Strong Resistance at Current Level. Looking to 440 for a break out..

I've found Cable struggling to move into a firm intraday trend one way or t'other recently. Much better moves from the Euro and Swiss, imo, although even they're hard work atm awaiting direction from the US. I believe that you've got to play all 3 pairs together as what works one day won't necessarily work the next.

cable long worked for me today...just closed at 18435

1.8480 possible short? term resistance and could be ripe for some sort of pullback?

same Euro 1.2350?

Yes it is quiet on this thread, Al. I get the impression that people don't hang around the FX markets for too long as it takes no prisoners.

Probably a combination of an unclearly defined strategy and poor money management/overtrading because of the very low margin requirements. Shame. It would be better if more people posted their views and kept the thread alive.

Difficult day today ..... too many whipsaws for my own strategy to work effectively reflecting obvious uncertainty in the market.

I'm still sulking coz i failed to get in at 180.90ish a couple of weeks ago,
i was very confident of this rise - even posted it on here.
too much of a muppet to trade it though - even now waiting for the pull back that looks like it will never come.
might end up asking that bird from mizuho to marry me !

Hil - must agree, hence my reluctance to get involved in FX. My only option for now would be spreadbetting and I'm not overly keen to leave my dosh at the mercy of the likes of CMC.

Either that or it's my shy, reserved personality. ;-))

I am still here on the odd occasion still learning, still loosing but not quite as much, very wide stops though, long at present.

I visit this thread most days when I trade but my bets are very small; though I tend to win. Had a nice +75 yesterday on Cable. But wasn't on the computer early enough today to catch the rise. However I learn quite a lot from this thread, thanks mainly to Hilary (we met at Croc's funeral, Hilary). I like the fact that for hours on end the currencies trade in ranges.

Currently having trouble with AOL broadband every afternoon - having to log on every 5-10 minutes. Guess it's to do with kids playing computer games.
