How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

After the performance of Uniteds last two games I wouldn't be surprised but I bet your not putting your money on it eh Scrip?

United should be priced around 1.66 and I think they are around 1.60 at the moment. Smells like a draw to me to be honest. Man U can't afford to lose but are certainly the stronger side.

Southampton being totally outclassed. Giving Man U too much space and defending is embarassing. Maybe total goals market is the only one to trade here!!

I was scalping the Man U match odds using a make market concept of backing first at the lay price and waiting for the fill before laying. The second time I did it, ManU scored, so rather than 1% I scalped 15% :-) I'm glad I bothered to boot-up the laptop now!

An interesting scenario here is if Man U get a good draw for the semi final. Southampton have to play Man U on the last day of the season so will they rest their players on the last day of the season against a team that could need to win to stay up?

Scrip, Lazio v Inter was 1-1 at 9:11pm (76 mins into the game I reckon) and was priced as 1.71 for the draw. That seemed a bit high to me, what do you think? Anyway, I took the trade and got anyway with it as I took 34% out in eight mins.

countrylife - if youve got something to say spit it out lol
anyone on the football this pm - made a nice few quid on blackburn (backed them midway through the 2nd half) - was out for the start of the newcastle game - may back the draw if it stays 0-0 for the next 10 mins or so - cant see it finishing 1-0
scrip - a quick question - what impact if any will the draw have on the outright winner market - i currently have a large profit on arsenal and am toying with greening up - will the odds change much if they draw Man Utd compared to drawing Blackburn - or is it too late in the comp for the draw to matter - theyve got to beat man utd to win it whether it be semi or final

Fundy, I have some open positions as well. The draw will affect the odds. The question you have to ask yourself is if Man U and Arsenal were drawn together what would be the likely match odds?
If you assume the current odds are correct then 2.42 & 2.92 leaves the draw at 4.00 which is probably a little over priced. Therefore I would expect the prices change a little but not much. I have some exposure ahead of the draw and I will probably let it run into the draw tomorrow.

thanks for that
i have eliminated my exposure but left all the profit on one line - will re-evaluate after the draw - Blackburn would be nice!!!

Curious winner on the first race. Huge drifter WH radio had several listeners tip it. Drifted to 17's and romped home!!
